Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

thank you for listening to this episode of the dusty show on wfmu. this one was recorded in manhattan's union square park the night before the show aired. the interviews were recorded digitally, which is something i haven't done very often, however, i was in the mood to try this sony recorder i got a while back that has been sitting lonely upon my shelf. it was fun to hear everything clearly for a change, unlike the microcassette which tends to distort all the s-sounds. i may or may not continue to use the digital in the future. the flea market finds are from upstate, where i went on a vinyl hunting excursion and general weekend with fabio and our wives. a great time was had by all. i particularly enjoyed the karen beth and i see that she has surfaced again in the woodstock area and has a website. i liked her sound. the innocents was interesting, too. so there you go ... another show. summer almost at an end. i have NO idea who you are or where you are. i don't get a whole lot of email. it's more facebook communication on the pigeonnaires page than anything these days, but not enough radio talk. check in if you like - dusty@wfmu.org. it's always good to hear from you. take care and always remember ... michael brown |

@ngh: I was speaking of the social media repeating the images over and over for the world to witness waste -- which it *still* is -- not whether the image comes from a region where water is plentiful. California's in a serious drought, yet I bet 70% or more of the bucket drenching is happening among its "celebs."
