A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

@Trouble: I travelled twice over the last couple of months and I went to two places I was reminded of you and your show. One is the Xul Solar Museum, in Buenos Aires. I didn't knew his work and found it amazing, he was a close friend of Borges and a mystic himself, it was great. The other was Inhotim, which I went the other week. It's really an amazing place, but perhaps you already have some notice about this one.

Was that DJ Ice Pak and you at the Film Forum screening of the La Broca "That Man From Rio"? (En francais avec les subtitles.)If so, I sat next to him! I love that film. Laughed loudly and gasped at the stunts. You both looked great- so happy and into it. I was going to inquire of your identity but did not want to interfere with famous people trying to have an anonymous good time in public.
If you were not there, some cool boy with glasses and his mom were.
I had listened to your this week's show that day in archive so your voices were clearly in my mind and I thought you had materialized...
I have a membership at FF and live 3 blocks away and go at least 2 times a wk so I notice the room of, and the people in, my sort of 2nd home

I have a digital camcorder that I once wanted really badly. Sadly I barely use it. Sometimes I wish I had a wife and kids to video tape, their sporting achievements etc and maybe one of them saying "this is the best day ever".

mary:

I dropped into my seat just before the first frame of TMFRio so all was calm...and I was so impressed that the boy to my right was completely into the film. Did not see your spouse past you; was riveted to the entertainment (in the best sense of the word). The two main actors were so good, perfect timing. Nice insight to Brazilia via the comedy. TMFR was made year before Belmondo was In Godard's "Pierrot le Fou", my all time fave film. Am geek.

Sometimes the world makes so much sense through happenstance. The wk before @FF, for Carax's "Les Amants du Pont Neuf", (second time that wk, took my best friend to see that kind of Carax terrible beauty) by chance, I sat next to my ex student from 3 years ago who has come to live in NYC from China. So happy to see her and when she said, "Oh I am sitting here because you told me these were the two best rows"...mentor joy.

Will say hi if I ever see you again! Love your show!
