It was heartbreaking when the blogger at Cities on Flame, a young Dutch fellow, died of cancer. I wrote a eulogy for Dirk on WFMU's blog here: blog.wfmu.org... (Read it with a tissue in hand.)

It's true, NGH. Anyone else been to the Shibuya Tower Records? There are whole WALLS devoted to Japanese ska, rap, etc. There's a store within walking distance of Tower that carries nothing but Japanese reggae.
