Listener comments!

9:03am David in ATL from NJ:

Good Saturday morning, Bob and fellow listeners!
  9:06am Nobby Nomates:

Now that's given me an appetite...I think I'll leave before the bass solo
Avatar 9:14am TDK60:

Ah, Everything is Everything, old NYC jazz-rock. Still have my LP. This is one of my fave cuts along with Witchi Tai To.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:23am Brian in UK:

Hello Bob, is this Milltown Bros over twenty years old. Scheeeesh.
Avatar 🥁 9:29am duke:

Good Morning all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am Guido from Cologne:

Hello Bob & everyone!
Dig Seals and Croft and Fred and Neil
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:35am Brian in UK:

Brondesbury is a suburb of north west London near Kilburn. Useless fact No.45
  9:36am Kris NYC:

Dear TDK 60
only if you have effortless answer - what pre-amp must one get for a Technics turntable
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:38am Brian in UK:

Moisten forefinger and hold it in the wind.
Avatar 🥁 9:40am duke:

Poco - Andy Breckman's favorite band
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45am Santos L Halper:

Hi Bob, sounding great! Who else was it played this recently...Clay i think
Avatar 🥁 9:46am duke:

I'm liking this 70's country rock
Avatar 9:47am TDK60:

Kris, I don't know. Looked online, there are some sites that may help. One is Turntable Lab.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am Santos L Halper:

Ah, but Clay didn't play the flip side; nice!
  9:48am Kris NYC:

THANKS TDK very nice !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am Mike East:

@Kris - no specific pre amp is necessary. I use a cheap old DJ mixer which has the preamp built in, and also allows me to pretend I'm mixing in the clubs. I'm sure you can find something on ebay or internetland, or you could go into Sam Ash/Guitar Center type store to their pro audio dept.
  9:59am Kris NYC:

THANK YOU MIKE EAST AND TDK
this is wonderful ! here I go
  10:08am name:

It comes out like jell-o .
10:11am David in ATL from NJ:

Love the Steely Dan story, Bob. Totally agree with your thoughts on this topic.
  10:12am PJMcE:

Kris - a phono-specific preamp actually IS needed, because vinyl recordings have RIAA equalization. If you want hear a record as the engineer intended, get a phono preamp. Dont worry - they are cheap - go to Needle Doctor for a big selection.
10:12am David in ATL from NJ:

This song is way too funky!
  10:16am scott:

Roger and the Gypsies were a real, legit band, featuring the great New Orleans guitarist Earl Stanley. Eddie Bo wasn't a member, but obviously he's featured on "Pass the Hatchet," which he produced and arranged.
Avatar 10:17am pgw in mntclr:

thought this Bobby Bland at first
  10:20am Kris NYC:

THANKS PJMcE !!!
I will do some studying to understand.
THANKS EVERYONE, didn't really expect such great response, should have remembered beautiful music = beautiful listeners
  10:21am RHenderson:

There's a coincidence - I'm playing the Detroit Cobras cover of "Hittin' On Nothin'" on my show this evening... Otherwise, this morning's show is fantastic, as expected, Bob.
  10:26am RHenderson:

P.S. To hear the Cobras' version - one of their more faithful covers - is to hear the source of vocalist Rachel Nagy's formidable persona, the latter very much representing a straight line drawn from Irma to the present.
  10:31am RHenderson:

Re-read previous comment, didn't intend "Otherwise..." as a criticism, by the way. It's still early where I am in California.
  10:41am scott:

Little Buck is the great NOLA R&B/blues guitarist Little Buck Sinegal, who's still gigging, and still tours as a member of Buckwheat Zydeco's band.
  10:41am The Little Rascal:

Bob Sounds Like Youve Got Frog In The Throat!
  10:45am RHenderson:

Thanks for the nod, Bob!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am Stevel:

"Better Get Up" could be my weekend theme song.
  10:58am scott:

I believe that the "Reading" in the Sundays album title is actually pronounced like Otis Redding, and I believe it's a reference to the band's hometown of Reading.
Avatar 11:01am pgw in mntclr:

feel like i left this comment before, but...
i rode my bike to Wall to Wall Sound and Video buy that Sundays album on cassette. still a great album.
