Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from October 7, 2014 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

@rjk, to further confuse things over the air in the US, one can say, "asshole," as in, "he's such an asshole." However, one cannot say, "asshole" in reference to a body part. We are a confused lot.

rjk, I spent about a year in Oz back in the 70s. When the kids started saying "wanker" in the 80s, I said "do you even know what that means?" and everyone thought it just meant "loser". Nearly everyone blushed a little pink when I told them.

Funny when words zig-zag across the line with the years, too. "Screw" for "beat it" even shows up in movies from decades gone by, in a time when NO swearing was allowed. But by the 60s, when my 4th grade teacher, a friendly progressive nun, heard me say it, she advised me I probably shouldn't, because it might mean something else. She left it at that.

As certain grocery stores in NYC, they have vending machines that dispense coins for every can/bottle inserted. There's usually a line of the grocery cart crew at said machines.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm
Guido from Cologne:

you must send the cans overseas to germany, here they are worth 25 cent. This is a whole recycling industry for the homeless.
