Well, sexy, multi-gendered romping sounds rather like every payday weekend at the ashram, but let's not speak of that. Good morning, Dave Bombay. This is a fine thing to start with, but you knew that;-D
Avatar 6:13am BEAVO:

I remember when these early Hendrix cheapo LPs came out after he died. Not sure it's really him. Not his style at all!
Avatar 6:13am Dave Bombay:

Hey there Sem! Nothing like a little jimi to get the morning off right.
Avatar 6:16am pierre:

Bonjours Dave and sandwiches !
Avatar 6:18am Dave Bombay:

@BEAVO - that is a legitimate possibility. I tend to agree that this is not really the classic 'jimi sound' but the jacket does mention that this is pre-Expirence while he was still developing his own style.
Avatar 6:20am Dave Bombay:

Hi Pierre! Bonjour!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Mr. Finewine - last weeek?? - played a track by the Upsetters (not the exceptional LeePerry Produced Jamaicans) - who were connected to Little Richard's backing band - that is suspected of having Jimi on it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...this Live show a harrowing anecdote in the 'Mind's Eye' Elevators tome- especially for lead guitarist Stacy Sutherland;
- their code of course was they would not play or record unless tripping - which I mention every time, but after all - that left even the Dead incredulous...

- Otis my man ! He loves us ! ; )
Avatar 6:35am BEAVO:

@ Dave sax player Lonnie Youngblood Jimi's Curtis Knight band mate was the leader on those sessions. He was on some and some not.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- interesting no ?? ; if not Jimi - a guitarist who maybe had just experienced him up close & personal...
Avatar 6:38am BEAVO:

Otis Live from Monterey with Booker T And the MGs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

... Oh yes ! : )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...unless it's a case of where somebody had a track or two w/ Jimi as a sideman & filled the album out after Jimi got famous (w/out him) - not even the same sessions (whudda I know ??)
- altho' the books tell of that one weird session when Jimi got back to NY *after* London & in fact recorded w/ Curtis Knight anyhow - a notably odd thing to do !...
Avatar 6:48am Dave Bombay:

The jacket says the session was played with a group of unknown musicians. Not quite sure what that means. It could go either way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54am sinister dexter:

good morning Dave and Listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Here's some Lonnie Youngblood reading :
...yerknow - down the rabbithole & all that...

Avatar 7:25am Dave Bombay:

@Renmero - Greetings from Jersey City, NJ! Thanks for tuning in!

@Ed - I am glad you have found the silver lining to being sick!

@sem - It is all a part of a correctly balanced musical diet.
Avatar 7:27am Sem Chumbo:

Can a big ole helping of *head-bangin'* be next, I wonder? You're the man, man.
Avatar 7:28am Dave Bombay:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51am fred:

Good morning Dave, guten TZAG fellow listeners. I'm tempted to call our fellowship "knuckleheads", but that name's already taken
Avatar 7:54am Dave Bombay:

Who took "knuckleheads" as a group moniker?
Avatar 7:57am t_J:

good morning Dave and all listeners, good mood
Avatar 7:59am Sem Chumbo:

True to your word, I now have to wear a hockey helmet as well as face guard and hockey pants. Do you have any idea how ridiculous that looks with pajamas? Thanks, Knucklehead Leader.

Avatar 8:02am Dave Bombay:

Good Morning t_J!

@sem - you are most welcome
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am fred:

@Dave Bombay: according to wikipedia, "hard-core fans of the band Five Finger Death Punch" (never heard of it, which is probably for the best): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knucklehead
Avatar 8:09am t_J:

they don't take themselves too seriously no
Avatar 8:12am Dave Bombay:
