Morning Meghan and all! John Peel's show was one of the only shows aired in English language on the national radio of Finland back in the 90s when I heard him regularly. I *wish* I'd heard him in the early days, from pioneering Faust and Krautrock to punk and Teenage Kicks. Wonderfully influential, great theme!

The Peel show was a great comfort during my time as an isolated oddball student in the late 80s. As with WFMU, listening made you feel like you were part of something, that there were others out there who understood... Meghan, any chance you could dig out "Emma's House" or "Sensitive" by The Field Mice (who go their first major airplay from JP)?
