Avatar 1:23pm d¢ pät:

well geting back to Huskers--the main problem for me is the album production. It usually sucked in general--drums, vox, AND bass. I'm still waiting for some one to remix Zen Arcade. Wouldn't mind actually hearing Bob's vocals. But the drums will always sound like wet towels.
Avatar 1:23pm V Priceless:

to think this was a record that was in every cutout bin on Earth too! Go figure!

  2:04pm Dean:

I totally can't afford even the pittance I donated, but oh, well. Dig, folks, dig deep.

Fonts: I typed the early issues of Flipside fanzine on an old Corona typewriter. Literal cut-and-paste (or tape). Used those irritating strips of white dust to correct individual letter errors. Had to be a species of Courier.
Avatar 2:06pm V Priceless:

Yes! Lurker folk! Please consider donating to the Silent Fund Raiser NOW, because FMU is about as good as it's gonna get for your ears on this, or any other, planet, and The Kamikaze Fun Machine is hard proof!
Avatar 2:06pm JakeGhould:

I like plain typing. None of this fancy nonsense. Schmancy bullshit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Mutant:

I've heard this on Ken's show too
Avatar 2:08pm Joe McG:

Now it's my turn, Cecile: Thanks for the Jimmy Castor Bunch! Also formative for me. Got the 45 as a kid and never let it go!

Avatar 2:15pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Kat in Chicago:

Reminded once again that I need Isley Brothers records!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Ken From Hyde Park:

WFMU evidently needs a stream of listener music. Like Listener Hour, but 24/7. Set up a silent fund-raiser next month to pay for it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm sphere:

That would be awesome, @KenFHP!
Avatar 2:20pm V Priceless:

Isn't anyone going to ask Cecile the Big Four cinder block question? Did I get that right? : )
  2:20pm Dean:

I'm sorry, but I have a disappointing Dave Lombardo story. He played with Fantomas at Victo several years ago. The entire group was phoning it in, a total slog.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm common:

i would have the hardest time not cursing if i were in your shoes, cecile.
  2:28pm Dean:

Rock-wise, is Cecile a Budgie fan?
  2:29pm marc:
