Hi Therese! Always the best way to begin my work week!
  12:06am JakeGould:

Na Zdrowie! Right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07am Therese:

Hello!! Welcome back to Standard Time.
Avatar 12:07am KP:

Good evening, Therese
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07am Tome:

hello Therese good midnight everyone ,, nice start there too !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am pacific standard simon:

Klaatu barada nikto!
Avatar 12:10am Bad Giblet Zero:

That time change thing was confusing. They said at 3am to change the time on my clock to 2am. So I did. Then when it was 3am I set my clock back to 2am. And so on and so on. I have no idea what time it is right now.

Oh yeah...it's THERESE TIME!!!
12:10am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Hey Therese! Happy November, everybody!
Avatar 12:10am KP:

Are these the 54/40 kids?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am Matt from Springfield:

Great psych garage!

Hello Therese and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am pacific standard simon:

I was hoping that this was "Your Love Is Like Nuclear Waste".
Avatar 12:17am KP:

Try taking a train that leaves at 2 am. I would fall for that every year until I wised up and starting driving in
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am Matt from Springfield:

Well DO YA punks!! DO YA!!!
Avatar 12:18am KP:

But I ....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am pacific standard simon:

OK, this segue totally makes sense.
Avatar 12:21am Andrew Fetter:

I was checking the time on my phone last night and I saw the time switch from 1:59 to 1:00. It kind of freaked me out a little, especially because I was watching an episode of The Twilight Zone about time travel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am pacific standard simon:

I have this game that I play with my wife: when a song with the word "love" in the words comes on the radio, I sing it with "mud" substituted for "love".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am Matt from Springfield:

Limiñanas do Pet Sounds! Woohoo!
  12:23am JakeGould:

That extra hour really gave me the needed strength to not care about the NYC marathon again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am Matt from Springfield:

@PSS: What the world needs now, is mud. Sweet mud...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am pacific standard simon:

Just so.
  12:25am KP:

I went to the marathon. Took a few pix. Cabbed it back
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25am pacific standard simon:

Could it be I'm falling in mud? With you? With you?
  12:26am KP:

Byrds? More than one Admiral Byrd?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am pacific standard simon:

Admiral Byrdseye, the frozen giant.
  12:27am JakeGould:

The Gorton’s Fisherman doesn’t rank, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30am pacific standard simon:

Gorton, klaatu barada nikto!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am pacific standard simon:

Do ya havta ask?
Avatar 12:33am Bad Giblet Zero:

"Sweet Jane" would have worked too.
Avatar 12:33am Andrew Fetter:

12:35am Bob in DC and/or VA:

Wow, awesome news about Ex Hex. Mary Timony forever!
Avatar 12:35am Bad Giblet Zero:

Krautu byrdada neato
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am pacific standard simon:

Chilly onyer carne.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am Matt from Springfield:

Chillier, and trees increasingly bare. Time for hats, rustling leaves on the ground and hot beverages.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am pacific standard simon:

From now on, it will be dark when I get off work. That's cool -- it always seems weird in the summer when the sun is still well above the horizon when I get off.
  12:41am rw:

Hey Therese & everybody! Speaking of the silent fundraiser... when do we find out if my dog wins the mascot contest?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Matt from Springfield:

Berlin! Hey, I was just there.
(Unlike Paris, the Métro there is the U-Bahn).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Therese:

That is a good question, RW! I'd imagine sometime soon?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Tome:

ahh taking the L train last night song ,,, wooo .. . ..
12:49am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

This song could not be about DC's Metro because it doesn't include any complaints about broken escalators.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51am Tome:

I so laugh and shake my head when people complain now about MTA Subway ,, is the ones who have know idea what it was like 30 - 40 years ago ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am pacific standard simon:

I know my dog won't win, so I don't care. Will try to love whatever animal does win, regardless...
  12:53am rw:

Thanks, Therese. My dog's going to be so excited when he wins!!! And... I sent several small pledges to several of my favorite DJ's but I can't remember if I sent anything to your show... My brain's a little mushy. I think I need to add another couple $.
  12:53am KP:

Tome, you got that right but I miss the tokens
  12:54am rw:

Anybody know where I put my wallet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am Matt from Springfield:

True dat Bob!

(I once thought of making a test for determining how much of a "Washingtonian" one is. One weighted answer would be if you've *had* to walk up the escalators of Dupont Circle, Rosslyn and (other similiarly long tunnel entrance) stations, because they were broken. I've had to walk up those two!)
  12:54am KP:

Tome I take the L too but not across river, much
  12:55am KP:

This Pouring Rain is a great song, Therese
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am pacific standard simon:

None of the San Francisco escalators work very much -- jammed with shit and garbage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am Tome:

from the bushwick / Ridgewood border myself originally still have few friends there I visit on occasion,, and can leave the sawed off shot gun home now ...
Avatar 1:00am Bad Giblet Zero:

One night after I'd had too much cake and ice cream I pushed a shopping cart down an escalator, but just hard enough so that it was going down at the same rate of speed that the steps on the escalator were going up.
  1:01am JakeGould:

Tome, isn’t it amazing how Bushwick is a “thing” now but is still really scary in parts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am pacific standard simon:

I wonder who "won".
  1:02am KP:

Jake Gould, yes, a little worrying
  1:03am KP:

Dream Police are coming this way, well brooklyn at least
  1:04am JakeGould:

For example, I live in Bay Ridge now. And there are still sketchy parts near Sunset Park but still… Nothing like Bushwich/Ridgewood scary.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am pacific standard simon:

It's hard to say about neighborhoods, because one person's "Augh!" is another person's "meh."
Avatar 1:09am Klaay:

The Metro! Good one, some Terri Nunn.
Avatar 1:09am egal:

Most neighborhoods have "sketchy" areas, even fully gentrified ones.
Avatar 1:10am Andrew Fetter:

Most Taylor Swift songs sound like 8 seconds of white noise to me.
Avatar 1:14am Bad Giblet Zero:

Maybe she's trying to get a Lifetime movie for her cat. "Taylor Swift's Cat's Eight-Second Christmas."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am Tome:

I had a chance 25 years ago to purchase ,, commercial real estate in Red Hook,,, don't you think I am kicking myself in the butt hard now?,, try to get commerical real estate in brooklyn now ..
  1:16am rw:

Taylor Swift is definitely a replicant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16am pacific standard simon:

Remember when Madonna released an alternate version of her latest single on the internet, under a whole bunch of sock puppet names, and the only lyrics were, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" I think it was supposed to discourage downloading, or maybe encourage downloading of Madonna at that point in her career.
Avatar 1:16am Bad Giblet Zero:

Taylor Swift often looks like the ZOMG cat.

  1:18am rw:

PSS, Didn't know about that Madonna thing, but it sounds kind of good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19am Tome:

.. oh well rice & beans again .. but good music :) and good people and this station :) !!
  1:19am JakeGould:

When I think about people walking around NYC with cats, I think about this photo because it’s real. www.flickr.com...
  1:21am rw:

Tome, Rice and beans is delicious, economical and healthy. You've got some corn tortillas, cheese and salsa to go with that, right?
  1:22am JakeGould:

I still have that MP3! www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am pacific standard simon:

Gotta have some small amount of pork shoulder in that rice and beans!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24am Tome:

yes :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24am Tome:

and a launching pad ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26am pacific standard simon:

Or a chicken thigh, or a can of sardines.
  1:27am rw:

JG, thx for the Madonna clip. Nice!
Also, love that street photography (which became possible with the invention of small, high quality cameras and roll film).
  1:28am rw:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30am pacific standard simon:

That's how I roll.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33am pacific standard simon:

Avatar 1:41am Egdip:

Sounding great, Therese! Enjoying the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46am Therese:

Thank you, Egdip!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:46am Therese:

(I see through your alias, by the way!)
Avatar 1:51am Bad Giblet Zero:

(I do too)
  2:06am JakeGould:

People shouldn't fake things.
Avatar 2:16am Bad Giblet Zero:

It would be in a Michael Mann movie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17am pacific standard simon:

I gotta fake thing.
Going to bed, G'night.
Avatar 2:17am Bad Giblet Zero:

James Spader driving around out night thinking things over.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27am Therese:

Yes! There would totally be a driving at night scene. In either a BMW or a Mercedes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29am Therese:

Was this movie actually made?
  2:33am rw:

Okay, I'm not getting any work done... just staring into space. Time to turn in. Good night all! Thank you once again Therese! Have a good week!
  2:34am rw:

Man. This Brown Rain album... insanity.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35am Therese:

Good night, RW! And good luck to your dog!
Avatar 2:39am Bad Giblet Zero:

Sadly, no. I', thinking it could also have been a scene on an episode of "Miami Vice." Maybe Don Johnson out in his speedboat trying to make a tough decision.
Avatar 2:39am Bad Giblet Zero:

BLURG! I hit the comma instead of "m."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:41am Therese:

Let's give this tough decision to Phillip Michael Thomas.
Avatar 2:43am Bad Giblet Zero:

Avatar 2:43am Bad Giblet Zero:

He's a more sensible thinker.
Avatar 2:46am Bad Giblet Zero:

Earlier tonight I photoshopped Prince's head on the body of a squirrel per a friend's request.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56am Ken From Hyde Park:

Zats...I fell asleep during Dave Mandl's show. I trust your show was an excellent one. Have a good week.
Avatar 2:57am Bad Giblet Zero:

You trusted wisely, Ken.
Avatar 2:59am Bad Giblet Zero:

Have a great week, everyone. See you back here next time. EX HEX!!!
  3:02am Steve-O:
