Daylight is breaking here with clear skies. Looks like a light frost.

Good morning, Jeffrey. Hiya, KfHP, Testing w/F.
Heavy north wind, white caps on the estuary. The winds of November came early.

...Yes - I visited Jim Morrison @ Pere Lachaise. I did *not* leave graffiti on someone like Balzac's memorial, or a bottle laying about or any such...please people - !

Hiya, RevRab. Love me some geography and map stuff any time of the day!
Hey, doca...sinais de Primavera em todos os lugares, eu espero?
Avatar 6:41am
doca:

@Sem: haha yes, but the seasons don't follow each other in any orderly sequence anymore. It's spring with an almost Summer-like temperature. Nice thing is the flowers now bloom any time during the year
Avatar 6:42am
doca:

@Sem: There's one like this right in front of my house, but now the flowers are gone and the fruits already opened, leaving a lot of cotton-like fluffs flying in the air

...when I 1st got back to NewHampshire (NorthNewEngland) from SantaBarbara in SoCal, I told my brother that it'd be interesting to live in a Four Seasons Climate again. He was like...well - it's more just Summer & Winter now !
...Whuuh - ?!?!
...& the entomologists are like - GoodNews/BadNews: we're seeing incredible butterflies & such we've never seen up North here before - but ! - they don't *belong* here...

@RRN63: yes, on a temperate climate place like Porto Alegre one feels the difference. When I was young (and I'm 27, so not so long ago), I remember very long and cold winters and, though it doesn't usually snows here, I remember waking up and everything frosted. It's always very humid, but there was more variation between the seasons. Now we have one or two weeks of really hard winter and lots of warm days in July and August (One thing doesn't change, though, which is the schizophrenical nature of local weather: one day it makes a maximum of 35ºC and the next day the maximum temp drops to 18ºC or something like that)

...Schedules are like Elections - new ones come along & don't always entirely please us. Reassuring to hear a DJ admit feeling just as I do about it.

- Gorgeous set that was Mr. DJ JD.

@Sem: do you know this classic samba-enredo from Mangueira samba school? It has one of the most beautiful eulogies of Spring I've ever seen: "Ó Primavera adora/Inspiradora de amores/Ó primavera idolatrada/Sublime estação das flores"
www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11am
Sem Chumbo:

@ doca: I do not, and the translation makes me want to!
"O love Spring / Inspiring loves / O idolized spring / Sublime flower season"
Thanks for sending this along:-)

testingwithfire:

@doca - love samba, will check that out

if you're in a multi device household, Jeffrey's show is great to listen to on 2 or more at once - one stream is prob a few seconds behind the other and the layering is lovely

...One could say No Vote is a Vote - but Voter Turnout was very low. Even so - Republicans got control of the Senate w/ 52% w/ a few Independents - not a filibuster-proof 60% or anything huge. It's staggering when people were talking about the demise of the Republican 'Brand' a little while ago...They got basically all the Governorships that were up - &tc. - but We're Still Here. It's looked on as an early indicator of the 2016 Elections as well...

...I do feel like saying - this one is firmly in the laps of the Don't Vote (the Dems are just as bad, the Greater of Two Evils Is Actually Better - & all that) people :
- It's wrong & bitter - but I feel like telling them I hope they like what we're gonna get now...

I just heard that in Glyn Johns' biography, he talks about how Dylan approached him to make an album with the Beatles and the Stones. It's hitting the news now.

Thanks very much for this morning's heaping helping of fine spins, J.D.. Much appreciated, especially, for old times sake, the "evergreens": Madame George and The Weight. See you again next time.
