What's the difference between an accordion and a duck call?
Avatar 🎸 3:59pm

Dunno, but can you do a feeding call on an accordion? I'd guess you could do a hailing call.

I can't believe it was so hard to find someone to take Partch's instruments. These are some great Partch pieces here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm
Irwin:

NGH: They're large, require a lot of space, need a long-term commitment which entails financial support, etc. etc. etc. It's a wonder they found a home.
Avatar 5:22pm
Carmichael:

@Tony: As a non-science person, I thought Hawking did a fine job of explaining complex theories to dopes like me. Except for the string theory part, which washed over and through me, leaving no trace.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 5:25pm
northguineahills:

True, not to mention the maintenance of the instruments must be a chore unto itself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm

Maintaining those instruments requires an endless supply of rubber bands and paper clips.

@Carmichael......bit by bit i am getting it......of course some of it will fly over your head like a Frisbee over a puppy in Grand Central Park.....but its fun to reach up and try to grab the idea......great mental exercise.....

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Always been impressed by those who can explain high-concept stuff (in whatever field) in plain comprehensible terms; take it as proof they actually know what they're talking about - if they can step back & articulate it another way, then maybe there's something actually there. When it gets to string theory - I think everyone is stretching to get it though. Didn't Einstein say - things should be no more complicated than they need to be - but - no simpler than they really are?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm
