r in va:

Need some grading music.
  9:12pm
Martha:

I understand that most definitely - we'll get you some, gonna have to work up to it tho' -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:12pm
Polyus:

Heard another equally awesome song from this comp elsewhere - really want one now.
  9:13pm
Martha:

It's a great comp, if more than mildly depressing...
  9:13pm
Jeff T:

I just pocket dialled the WFMU app or something and this suspects track started playing out of my pocket and I was like whoa. Now I'm here, tracking it down.
  9:16pm
Martha:

Hah! - and also, I might very well be depressed if I was living in Berlin in '79 -
  9:31pm
jeff-m:

hey martha. just arriving
  9:33pm
Martha:

Hey Jeff - great to hear from - 'fraid we are in the "rock" part of the evening at the moment - we will mellow though -
Avatar 9:33pm
Mailman Tom:

I like the name Martha. Al Pacino's gun toting girlfriend in Scarface was named Martha
  9:34pm
jeff-m:

If i wanted to drone, I'd activate the record player. Rock on :)
  9:35pm
Martha:

REALLY!!! - I've seen that movie a bunch and don't remember that - though I know it was the name of the last surviving Passenger Pigeon before they went extinct - good to hear from you -
  9:35pm
Martha:

Thanks JM!
  9:37pm
V Priceless:

Hey Martha! The Skull's record kicks arse!

And the bison almost went that way as well...
Avatar 9:43pm
Mailman Tom:

Martha was on the bed with a blanket that was covering an automatic weapon when Pacino entered the motel room. All hell broke loose a few seconds later!
  9:46pm
jeff-m:

long live the pickerel!
  9:52pm
Martha:

Agreed - and the gar -
  9:53pm

Yes. She was no match for Scarface!

jeff-m:

recently was surprised to find out that the red fox is a non-native species. We brought over in the 13 colonies era since they were less easily tree'd by dogs in pursuit...

and while we are on fish- the brown trout was brought over from Europe too
  10:00pm
jeff-m:

than the native grey fox.

ok, carry on. back to music chat
Avatar 10:01pm

big fox fan.
  10:03pm
jeff-m:

i see that. must be why that popped into my head. plus, was thinking of the pike in the lake down the street and how they are out their range (as in too far south) here in NJ
  10:07pm
jeff-m:

great band name
  10:07pm
JakeGould:

I like red foxes and Redd Foxx as well, ya big dummy…
  10:10pm
Martha:

The red fox [?Redd Foxx?] situation is interesting - but so are my usually repressed goth tendencies -
  10:12pm
JakeGould:

Martha, Redd Foxx… Sanford & Son. Foul mouthed comedian… Genius… www.youtube.com...

Minnesota - not actually as frozen today, but far enough away that I doubt X_X will make it here.

jersey snow storm is 34 degrees and raining

My new band, the Wintry Micks
  11:34pm
KP:

Hi ya, Martha. Good to see you, so to speak
  11:36pm
Martha:

I could join the Wintry Micks - though maybe just on tambourine - and MN is beautiful in the summer, at least you all know how to deal with snow - NJ: the originator of the oxymoron "freezing rain" - or at least one of the ones we've come up with...

  11:44pm
Martha:

Of cops on the FDR? - NYC has certainly gone through its cycles -
  11:45pm

Pop Group reissue = excellent, even for someone like me who doesn't really like all that quasi-dubby shit -

Demon alcohol
  11:51pm
KP:

Abandos sound pretty great
  11:51pm
Martha:

I was thinking of having an alcohol themed premium this marathon but maybe that's not such a good idea - though there is a lot of material out there - direct and indirect -
  11:52pm
KP:

Bit like johnny rotten?
  11:54pm
Martha:

If I sent him a nice note, do you think he would get back to me with some suggestions?
  11:56pm

Actual alcohol? It's bad enough I have such a nice flask around
  11:57pm
