Goob morgan.6:10am : gouda mourning frank. no signs of winter here.6:11am : Frank, I actually know what "Dizzy Dean slud into home" is referring to.6:13am : Good norming, FXO. Most welcome start to the day as dawn approaches, a lot like winter here.
Hey, mauri! How did you make out in the wife carrying races? You Finns!6:13am : hey, Mauri. glad you're around.
Mark: okay, what's your answer?6:14am : It's something he actually said while announcing a baseball game!6:14am : morning, Sem, ol' friend.6:15am : I got no wife buhuu6:16am : Mark, you are correct, sir! If I had a prize, I'd give one. Good call, "Diz".6:17am : I'm a veritable treasure trove of arcane, useless trivia6:18am : USEFUL trivia...6:22am : @mauri: cool fedora. Who'd you make it for, Ice Cube:-P6:25am : Hi, Frank! Moi, mauri, Mark and Sem! Off keyboard to do various things, but listening and will get back here eventually.6:27am : morning, Ms. kat330.6:28am : @Sem I actually didnt make it. My friend did it from an icecube . After we drank the punch from it.

Always a pleasure.6:45am : er, uh, I mean "fxo".6:46am : woke up today, saying something about a stapler. now it's noon, though i feel more like 6 am. this time shift is a good thing from time to time.6:50am : @robert a stapler? I have a red Swingline stapler6:50am : okay, a staple stapler...6:56am : I have a Ken Stapler bobble-head.
*football trivia* @Mark.6:58am : i have a black leitz staple stapler. serious and elegant!7:00am : but swingline in red? sweet dreams are made of theese......7:01am : ...Guten Tzag, trivial bobble staplers in ice punch fedoras, wife racers, keyboard absentees, somnambulant auditors, online freeform music presenters...7:02am : Did he say "Take 63?" That Phil, as demanding of his musicians as his hairpieces.7:03am : Serious, yet elegant?
I've had staples on my gut. Gimme a "rim-shot"...
Guten TZAG, Revrab.7:03am : What's it take for an artist to get played around here -- going to jail?? ;)7:04am : G'morn Frank & Gang! Breakfast eating and prepping for work so not a lot of commenting, but present and accounted for. Lovely sounds!7:06am : hey, Philo. Dress well, it be cold out.7:07am : @mauri: Always wondered what a fedora felt like.7:09am : Been out jogging already, so well bundled up. Put up the xmas lights yesterday, looked bright and warm coming back!7:09am : I do enjoy Ms. .Apple. When she arrived on the scene, I had her as a nice match-up to marry Beck.7:16am : Julian Beck?7:18am : She may have a dark side, but I doubt it includes necrophilia.7:20am : bah-dah-bump!7:23am : Oh god I had successfully blocked out Fiona Apple from my memory banks. Thanks for bringing all the PSTD memories from my freshman roommate who liked her shit.7:24am : Quite an entry. :,7:25am : @cobradan: listen to FXO At Ya'Own Risk *i*7:33am : Even though I'm not really familiar with this album, I knew it was FZ right away.7:33am : @Kat it feels how you wear it.7:34am : Feels about right.7:35am : Moi, ja moi Mauri!
Frank and gang, gotta split for work. Have a splendid day, folks!7:36am : hyvät päivän jatkot philo!7:36am : There are places where trying to bring a little light and joy is made nigh on impossible, so sayonara señors. Thanks for the music stream, Frank.7:38am : Ah, shitttt. I step out to harvest some frozen solid kale for bread and I miss FZ. Oh, No I Don't Believe It, is right.7:49am : ...call any vegetable harvester - call him by 'Sem'...7:51am : I really liked that for some reason. Wish I could have heard it at home instead of terrible laptop speakers.7:55am : Morning all -- quick hi before I run off to catch the bus. Loving the sounds this morning FXO!7:56am : Male: check the upcoming WFMU archive, in a few hours. You can hear it for at least a month. The sound might better.
hello, adrian: Keep warm.7:57am : @RevRab: nice one.7:58am : @fxo: Great news! Thank you.8:06am : Got my safety pin ready! Never mind the Christmas bollocks, here's the Chipmunks.8:07am : wonderful8:10am : Hello Frank. Does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really know what time is?8:12am : hey frank, everyone!8:13am : Brian, depending your zone, 12 minutes into the third hour.
hello, common.8:14am : Hello, BrianiUK. Ask me mañana.
Hey, common.8:15am : ...white back stripes make kewl mohawks...
- Heard interview on Fresh Air about Hendrix biopic 'All Is By My Side' :
www.npr.org...
- & was impressed by that ; wondering if anyone's seen it & opinions. Asking the same in faceborg Hendrix discussion group (...it's fb...yerknow...) - & they are trashing it...8:17am : Everybody's got an opinion, ya know?8:20am : sem!8:29am : Hey, Brian, it's time for WFMU, I think.8:33am : Haven't seen it, Rev--saw some clips and Andre 3000 looks AMAZING. HOWEVER--Kathy Etchingham says that the scenes of Jimi beating her are total fiction. The family wasn't pleased with the script (that could mean it's actually lousy or that they wouldn't approve anything that wasn't a whitewash), but the net result is they wouldn't give their permission to use any of his music. A Jimi bio-pic without any of his music seems utterly beside the point. The same thing happened with the Brian Jones biopic, "Stoned," which I did see, and I thought it was dreadful.8:44am : @davex that is why I am here. Where is here?8:45am : Been caning The KLF in the car. Still sounds good twenty five years later.8:47am : @Brian: the British and their caning. We Colonials just don't get that much, since you guys left:-)
Hey, Frank. Thanks so much for this morning, ear-opening spins and a fun time altogether. Catch next time, if the Fates allow.8:51am : @Sem: Younger Britons no longer 'cane' things, they 'rinse' them - a bit of drum'n'bass jargon that has gone mainstream.8:52am : Sem I remember our Headmaster as he was about to cane me for ringing the fire alarms (after skool I might add) "this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you". It's an odd boy who doesn't like sport.8:52am : Coming to a close on this particular webcast. Thanks for the comments, alla yez. Have a nice week, next Monday, with a live webplaylist. Watch out for the holidaze(s), it's crazy out there.
peace.
