I am so up right now. Got any Gagoosh? I used to work in Dubai with a woman who knew her. She turned me on to Iranian music, though she couldn't step foot in the country anymore...
Avatar 7:37am
Dave Bombay:

Sadly I do not have any Gagoosh. I can take a look in the music library after the show maybe. We are a bit light on Iranian pop music sadly.

Saw the Malk in DC a few months back. He was a little tipsy and his UVA frat bros were in the audience. He played a wigged out proggypunk version of Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well.
Avatar 8:01am

@ausmanx - Indeed they were. I got to see them in Chicago in 2009 (i think) when they reunited for a bit. pretty awesome.

@Sem: it's been a bit chilly here and there and just a spot of snow down here in Monty Hall country, but still nothing like November/December is supposed to be. The climate isn't changing, it's changed.

@P-90: yes, the change is upon us. I look at the rising sea level in my backyard where it meets salt water every morning and I know the truth of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am
Sem Chumbo:

@Dave: customized puppets cost a hand, arm and a leg, ya know;-)
  8:50am
P-90:

The seawater/groundwater line is IN your actual backyard? Do waves come crashing over your house when there's a Nor'Easter?
  8:52am
P-90:

"Hand, arm, leg....": so how much do pipe cleaners and felt cost, anyway? Oh, I see, it's the South Korean labor that runs up the tab...

Just in time: i have my Japanese exam in an hour and a half.

@P-90: 29 feet of tide where I am, and yes, white caps and the whole schmear whether the wind is from the northeast or the southwest. My garden, because of the high water table, never freezes. So, lots of celery and other muck loving PLANTS. And usually pre-salted *i*
