I saw Buddy Guy about 15 years ago, on a bill with John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers. Guy was about as wasted as I have ever seen anyone, performing or otherwise.

Some of these segues are…other-worldly. Re: Buddy Guy. Saw him support Jefferson Airplane @ Fillmore East - November '68. He must've had a 300-foot guitar cord that allowed him to walk off stage, up the aisle, possibly into the balcony, down and back to the stage again. I was chaperoning a group of younger kids (like 12-13) whose collective mind was blown completely.

Wonder what Boozoo made of this.

Dominick:

Buddy Guy opened for LZ in '68 at the NY State Pavilion in Flushing Meadow Park. Though he was in top form, crowd was under appreciative, to say the least. There were hundreds of party balloons bouncing around the crowd. Some schmoe threw a sausage shaped balloon at Buddy and it hit him in the head. He bent down, picked up the balloon and proceeded to play slide with it. Crowd was gobsmacked and cheered!
