Vocals and music culled from a special edition of SPIN ALT with Ray Wingnut - to air this Sunday (Dec 21) in Ireland - it is part of a look back at the year in music (mostly hip-hop) in the "City of Culture 2014" a year long event that took place in Limerick - the Irish city that I did a WFMU live remote from five years ago - with some of the same guests overlapping here. I have just edited down some bits from the special which you can hear in entirety on SPIN on Sunday eve. or online on SoundCloud (link to follow). Included are Blind Boy Boat Club of the Rubber Bandits speaking about the album by My Name Is John and God Knows - As producer Ray Wingnut (a great guy) notes in his special all the artists/subjects interviewed for this special by out of Limerick were part of the year's successful year long arts project City of Culture event….Blind Boy and members of Same Difference (aka Same D) are the voices heard and also.the music segments in this edited down bit I did for this WFMU show by permission of Ray Wingnut - beat being played underneath vocals is mixed in by me - and is by Company Flow | ||||||
