good morning listeners and other people.
  6:15am Cooh John:

subzero good morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16am Scott McDowell:

Hello John! Where are you? It's 4 degrees here, not quite sub, which is why I ask.
Avatar 6:19am doca:

Superzero good morning over here, Scott and listeners

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26am Scott McDowell:

Good morning
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27am Andrew Waterloo:

Ah, the Long Rally. A reason to climb out of bed at 6am on the coldest day of the year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28am Scott McDowell:

I fully support staying in bed and listening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38am Andrew Waterloo:

I'm not setup to listen in bed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39am Andrew Waterloo:

Of course I just remembered that my tablet was on my nightstand this morning
  6:44am David Baker:

Enjoying 11.43am here in London - WFMU - the best all day - keep on going - love it.
Avatar 6:45am Sem Chumbo:

Ah, a Canadian childhood memory. This was the soundtrack to something about nature on the TV. Andrew, you know what I am talking about?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am Scott McDowell:

Cheers, David
  6:49am adrian in mpls:

Ah, Satie followed by Radigue - just lovely. This is only going to encourage me to stay in bed and keep reading, rather than getting ready for work!
  6:49am fieldwire:

-12 here in Brattleboro, VT. Nice to hear Satie into Radigue!
Avatar 6:50am pierre:

Bonjour Scott and people of the radio.
Let's spread some love.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am Andrew Waterloo:

@Sem, I don't but the song has a natural familiarity to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53am Scott McDowell:

Bonjour Pierre
Avatar 7:23am duke:

Morning all. It's cold here. Brrrrr.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27am Scott McDowell:

cold weather music, except that it's about 100 degrees in studio B here at wfmu
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39am Ken From Hyde Park:

For sure. It's single digits cold here, but at least it's still above zero. As long as the wind doesn't pick up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51am Marcel M:

Morning everyone. It's so cold… But at least I'm not where my parents live, -14 there!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54am Andrew Waterloo:

It isn't that cold here either. Unless you're talking C
Avatar 7:56am PKNY:

Good TZAG, Scott and everybody! Great set today, it's definitely helping me to deal with the cold! Especially dug that Philip Corner track while I was making breakfast, looking forward to checking the rest of that record out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am listener james from westwood:

Mornin', Scott and all! Hot damn, this Omar Khorshid track is wonderful.
  8:02am Reichard Scunrok:

That Omar Khorsid music was the shit..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02am Scott McDowell:

Morning, nice to see the friendly faces of the just waking up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:05am Marcel M:

That was Rhyton's most recent album? Damn… I got to get that. They've gotten really good.
Avatar 8:05am PKNY:

Agreed on the Omar Khorshid, that got clicky-starred with the quickness.

@Scott - Actually, I was listening since the show started, since I'm hitting the kitchen right before 6 to start my day, but I stay off the board to avoid burning my breakfast.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06am Scott McDowell:

Nice! No burned breakfast!
Avatar 8:10am doca:

New Soul Jazz comp?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13am Scott McDowell:

Avatar 8:15am doca:

Avatar 8:19am doca:

Those comps have a lot of problems in my opinions, speaking as a person whose culture is the frequent subject of one. But they're good because they often present artists otherwise we wouldn't know or wouldn't be so well known.
Avatar 8:19am doca:

*my opinion
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21am common:

hey scott! morning everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am Scott McDowell:

Yeah agreed fully doca. Build to sell, but hey, good music on there for sure! Hopefully opens some doors for people to go deeper! :)
Avatar 8:22am Cheri Pi:

Morning peeps! I walked to work in -11 windchill! I win.
Avatar 8:23am Cheri Pi:

Damn, I need to check out that new Soul Jazz.
Avatar 8:25am duke:

Gotta go, too bad. This has been a great show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25am Ken From Hyde Park:

One time in January, I rode bike to work at 12 above. I had to take it slow because my nose would freeze up inside if I ibreahed too heavily.
Avatar 8:27am Cheri Pi:

It was Zero today with a windchill of -11. I can't imagine riding a bike in it but I'm pretty sure that DC P@, wherever he is, rode his bike to work this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34am common:

i walked an hr. to work. it's 0. can't type
Avatar 8:37am Cheri Pi:

Poor common are you seriuss??? I only walked 12 minutes :( You must be frozen at the atomic level.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am common:

i think my brain froze, cheri!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am Ken From Hyde Park:

Brain freeze without the fun of eating ice cream. Blah!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am common:

you said it, ken!
Avatar 8:53am Cheri Pi:

You need some warm Brain Oil to marinate in.
Avatar 8:53am Sem Chumbo:

Been listening and feeding the wood stove, -16C/3F, -26C wind chill. Thanks for keeping my brain warm, Scott. See ya later, in the next Ice Age, maybe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am DCE:
