Avatar 3:37am Joe B:

One of Three grass roots versions, lead vocal wise. My fave is the Bangles cover!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39am MattBelow:

@Joe B: Saw The Bangles do that song live. It was fantastic. They also did Live and September Gurls.
Avatar 3:40am Sean B.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45am MattBelow:

  4:11am David Baker:

Great show... listening in St Albans (just north of London, UK).. keep up the good work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19am MattBelow:

@Revolution: In the Bee Gees booklet of this boxset, there is a pic of Klaus holding the Revolver cover. Cool stuff.
Hey David!
Avatar 4:20am Sean B.:

It was a sad day for me when Syd passed. I think it was 2006...?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31am MattBelow:

@Sean: Syd, Sky Saxon and Arthur Lee right around the same time...sad
  4:39am Mark:

Hey Matt! Thank you for making it through Snowmageddon to spin some great tunes for us (although looking out my window it doesn't look like we got that much snow in Montclair.). A lot of good 60s stuff. Love the French ones.
Avatar 4:41am Joe B:

You are in a great place! At least putting the listeners in a great place!
Avatar 4:41am Sean B.:

Yeah, I remember Arthur Lee passing, also, now that you mention it; The pictures I had seen of Syd months before he passed he had looked healthy to me...; 'Flaming' is just so rediculously beautiful...a gifted songwriter to say the very least;Damn shame. Whatchagonna do....history is filled with artists, poets and musicians who just mad bad choices or whatnot for hundreds of years.
Avatar 4:44am Joe B:

The supremes last big hit in the US. I thought they could go on forever at the time but this was pretty much it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:48am MattBelow:

@Joe B: I think Jean Terrell left soon after that song. Maybe that's what happened. Mary just didn't have a strong enough voice to carry. And the 3rd position kept changing.
Avatar 4:52am Joe B:

Great Arthur comp, that razor& tie one
Avatar 4:54am Joe Belock:

I can't get started on the Supremes. I'll be like that cat in the film Slacker - conspiracy a go go!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56am MattBelow:

@Joe: We will have a Supremes pow wow
Avatar 4:56am Sean B.:

It was nice chatting;Gotta sign out to try and get some rest with this as my soundtrack; Tuning out during a good soul set is something that doesn't happen...ever. Nite Matt and Joe!;Stay warm and safe guys!.

Twink! I love this song! I got to interview him at a psychedelic research conference a couple of years ago - he's now a Muslim convert living in Marrakech.
Avatar 5:40am the Canterbury wood-elf:

BTW, it's Ten Thousand words, not a Thousand. Sorry to be pedantic.
