How often have we heard Dave the S actually find a record and play it on the spot for someone who asked for it on the Comments? It's like a VERY rare thing, He doesn't really do that kind of show. He played the request and it turned the guy into a monster, he started demanding more the same night, he's been back every week (or almost every week) since.

He wasn't just a "Lovecraft expert", he was, sad to say, an all-around jerk who, among other things, would appear frequently during lots of shows and post at length about what he had for breakfast, what he bought at the grocery store, and every random thought that went through his head. And he'd get contentious over nothing and antagonize other commenters and the DJs. Pseu really blew up at him on the air one night. He was "disappeared" soon after.

@SF Dweller - Since it will be first time doing remote using this new gear I got (different from past ones) for tomorrow am doing it solo from someone's pad in Oakland - but next week (Feb 6th) after I have it all sorted will be doing it from an underground weed spot in Oakland - The SpeakeasyZ smoking lounge for lovers of da dank - If you email me @ wfmu I will send u details before then - also note that night before is opening of the SF Indie Film Fest with Conspiracy of Beards performing (they will be guests on my show when they come to NYC in early May)……..and that the WFMU documentary "Sex and Broadcasting" will be playing 3 times during the SF fest…..I will attend the first one Feb 8th at 1pm in Oakland and Ken will be attending one of the two others when he gets to the Bay Area…..Ken will also be hosting a WFMU meet up in San Francisco - think it will be at the Hemlock on Polk = details on WFMU dot org
