	3:44pm Dean: Collins' solo stuff was appallingly bad. But as a drummer and all-around musician on those early Genesis records -- SEBTP, e.g. -- and his work with Brand X, among other groups, he is redeemed.

	3:51pm Dean: There's this pop hit these days called "Sledgehammer" by I don't know whom. My 8YO digs it. I played him the "real" "Sledgehammer," Peter Gabriel's, and he was like, "Meh." But last night I played Gentle Giant's "In a Glass House" LP and my son asked if it was the "Sledgehammer" guy.

	4:04pm coelacanth: i saw Gabriel at rutgers university on the first halloween after that album came. he opened with a long intro'd intruder,the whole band hitting drums as they-in elaborate costume- slowly walked from the back of the auditorium to the stage. That will be with me forever!
