Sounds from the archive of the future, sonic drilling into the past, dissonant rumbling, lyrical melodies, noises (human, animal, mechanical, digital) inscrutable yet honest, desultory but consistent.

Hi Carm, others

5 degrees in NYC. Also the real Mona Lisa is like college dorm room poster sized.
  10:48pm
Carmichael:

80 degrees in Cali today, Jake. I want cold weather and seasons and all the other stuff i have heard about.
  10:51pm
JakeGould:

This 5 degrees can eat me.

@jake: be patient, the basket's coming down with more

Sounds like old Art went through quite a bit of lotion himself. And junk, apparently.

Bucky! One of the all-time geniuses, but his diction wasn't 'always the best...

I have a Bertoia chair in this room that I've had since 1968. I will now sit in it with renewed awe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27pm
coelacanth:

Thank you David for those links....though i'd really like to hear an isolated drum track of the best drummer ever to grace "rock" music (though not really a rock drummer)...Mitch Mitchel. (in my so very humble opinion!)
  11:27pm
P-90:

That is WAY cool, Pufnstuf Dude!
Hi coel, Carmichael, Wendy
Avatar 11:28pm

Thanks for checkin' in, folks! Uncle Michael, I envy your Bertoia chair.

howdy P-90!

JakeGould:

I missed the Keith Moon track, but appreciate the link. Amazing stuff!
  11:46pm
P-90:

Wow, never heard that "Favorite Things" before. The standard is a bit buried in the arrangement, especially at the beginning, the way bee-boppers used to do. Cool.
And if you asked me out of the blue what classic rock drummers' isolated tracks would make listenable compositions on their own, Moonie and Bonham would come to mind first. Thanks for that link, and for the do-it-yourself drone site. Again, cool. Way cool.
