The Stereos in mono?
  1:12pm Listener Jumpy:

Rex was fantastic on the turntables last night! He's too modest to say so. Suffice to say Rebel Night never saw its like before.
Avatar 1:19pm V Priceless:

hi Rex! Great show! Keep rocking!

Yo, Uncle M!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Amen, Shorty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm brendanswfmuaccount:

I love that Shorty Warren song, puts a smile on my face every time I hear it.
Avatar 1:44pm Reeshard:

Oh yes, Rex, Bob Ridgely cut the wonderful "Wow, Wow, She Was A Mau-Mau" for Del-Fi, as well as that Halloween perennial "The Way Out Mummy." As to the voice-over business, a friend of mine ran a sound sweetening facility here in Los Angeles where both Ridgely and Ernie 'Ghoulardi' Anderson often worked. Ernie, according to my friend, was cranky and then some, nice to no one at all, sat outside in his limo until it was time to do his voicing. Bob R., on the other hand, was a joy to be around. Bob was also Ed McMahon to Woody Woodbury's Johnny on the latter's talk show circa '69-'70.

The olde noise ain't nevah been bettah!
Avatar 1:55pm Tony in Durham NC:

  2:11pm Shawn Garrett:

Ernie Anderson (Ghoulardi) was cranky? You don't say....

  2:11pm Brez:

Fu Man *Achoo*! Got a cold but that song made me feel better -- thanx, Rex!
  2:14pm johnk77:

  2:18pm Brez:

Recent studies confirm: Chop Suey Rock and crazy old records are the BEST medicine for a cold. Thanks as always to DOCTOR REX!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm Gaylord Fields:

Greetings from the East Bay, a place that corrupted Rex in the right way!
Avatar 2:20pm dale:

wonder if uncle scrooge paid for said party?
  2:22pm Philly:

Neil Young has nothing on that string torturin' lead! Wow!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Gaylord Fields:

@Reeshard: That sorta explains the Bob Ridgley/Paul Thomas Anderson/Boogie Nights connection, seeing as P.T. is the Son of Ghoulardi.
  2:25pm pottybear:

We're doin' the Frog in Campbell!
  2:25pm johnk77:

was Ghoulardi slack off-mic in Cleveland?
maybe it was moving to San Fernando Valley?
  2:26pm P-90:

The snow's coming down, in a big way.
RACCOON ALERT! All available WFMU Volunteer Wildlife Rangers, man your posts at the electrical substations!
This is NOT a raccoon drill!
Avatar 2:30pm dale:

back in college the power went out cuz a chipmunk shorted out the substation. headline was 'pop goes the weasel.' inaccurate, but funny
  2:30pm pottybear:

With opposible thumbs, raccoons can spin disks. Look out!
  2:34pm P-90:

Repeat: This is NOT a drill.
the WFMU Armory is now open, all Volunteer Rangers can sign out their genuine Wham-O Wrist Rocket slingshots and AirBlaster air horns.
Avatar 2:37pm Tony in Durham NC:

Yeeeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwww! (point of reference, 2,000 Maniacs)
