I'm still thinking about my pledge. I need to do a lot of financial math this year to pledge to the station (even though no amount of money is enough for how much I love it)
doca, each time the local lottery tops $100M, I fantasize about driving down to the station on the last night of the Marathon w/ a briefcase full of 100s and popping it open before the bleary eyes of Station Manager Ken.
@lsfw: Yeah I always think that if I won the lottery, WFMU would get a lot of financial relief.
@Jesse K: Math is not my strong too...but that's exactly the problem.
@doca, thanks for asking, my cd premium is about 60 minutes long!
It's a mix of songs that contain heavy vocal manipulation, cross genres so that Ladi Luv track is on it but other stuff from sound poetry to more techno stuff too
@Jesse K: That's interesting! Maybe it sits well with Daniel Blumin's premium CD. But you should make a CD that is about - in all its meanings- 60 minutes
Well, I'm gonna pledge next week. Don't think that my lack of funds is lack of interest in the well being of the station, guys. Gonna lurk in here and read a little bit to the sound of vocal manipulations
@doca, if you're still around, you can pledge now & choose the "bill me later" option. (ALL pledges used to be billed later, back in the old days when Doug was volunteer director and there was no web pledging. Uh oh, I'm making myself feel old.)
