Hey, All! This is one of the best new shows to hit the airwaves anywhere. And where else could we find it? Nowhere else, that's where! Show the love for the curatorial excellence of DJ Devon! :-)

Yes, please support this great new soundtrack program on WFMU!

this Pakistani film music is wild!

If today's theme is "A Fistful of Dollars", surely next week's theme is "For A Few Dollars More"?

ps my soundtrack vote to "Asterix and Cleopatra" (1968) by the late, great Gérard Calvi

taratortuga:

ooh, one of many faves is Michael Nyman & Damon Albarn's soundtrack for "Ravenous"
Avatar 7:29pm
Caryn:

My soundtrack vote is torn between two classics: Hermann's score for "Psycho" (nothing but strings, but always sounds bigger) and Morricone's score for "Once Upon A Time In The West" (the soundtrack of my childhood).

You're on a roll, Caryn!

Dang meeting just came up, so I'll catch ya later, all! Thanks again, Devon!

Support this excellent program and the expert dj behind it.

Eddie Manson, “Suite From The Little Fugitive.” All harmonica music so won’t force any track, but will say, “To A Wild Rose” is pretty nice.

Caryn:

If we're including soundtracks that are collections of (original) songs, I might put in a vote for "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls".

Dano59:

I love Kiss of the Damned ... but not as much as Only Lovers Left Alive.
Avatar 7:43pm
Caryn:

Yeah, if we're talking unusual vampire movies, it's 1) Only Lovers Left Alive, 2) Kiss of the Damned, 3) Martin, 4) The Hunger, 5) The Addiction. Oh, and the Swedish Let the Right One In.

Caryn:

Hmm, I only pledged once. about 40 minutes ago...
Avatar 7:45pm
Jeff:

I didn't mention a favorite soundtrack because I've been enjoying being surprised by what Devon plays as he curates the show...
Avatar 7:58pm
Jeff:

Yeah, I know it's a heartwarming whale tale, but "Free Willie" has always sounded to me like a celebration of unsafe sex.

Caryn:

BTW, is there an image of the t-shirt anywhere?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm
taratortuga:

Other goodies: Walkabout, Paris, Texas, and The Last Wave. (Already pledged through swag for life & am getting the Morricone Island tshirt!)
