I don't think most folks make a distinction between the practice of radio and the physical tool of radio. There maybe a time when the actual physical radio may be no longer needed but the practice of radio will always thrive. I believe it was Irwin the other day who pointed out that it is one of the only art forms/stimuli that you can multi task with.

@Doug: "Do Leme ao Pontal" refers to the two extremes of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. The Leme, were Guanabara Bay turns into the ocean and the Pontal do Paranamapena, its opposite extreme. In the middle he lists all the beaches in Rio (Flamengo, Botafogo, Praia Vermelha, Urca...) and the chorus is pure genius: "I drink Guaraná, Caju juice, and Goiabada (guayaba "jam") for dessert"
