  7:31pm

@Paul, it ends next Sunday. You don't have to pay now -- choose BILL ME LATER -- better chance to win a prize if you pledge earlier. Esp. now! Sun. night often a little slower. More competition towards the end.

Hi dan hey clay, thanks for all that you do for wfmu
  7:53pm
Robert:

Paul D, I wouldn't stress too much over the exact ending of the marathon. I can't speak for WFMU, but as a long-time observer I can say it's been common practice for them to send premiums for pledges & donations long after the marathon period ends, pending availability of the premiums of course. Also, while they like to funnel the pledging into this small portion of the calendar, because it helps them budget for the fiscal year, they certainly accept donations year round.
Avatar 7:55pm
dk:

holy cow. i was already psyched for this premium, but knowing there's an exclusive caverns of anti-matter track means i'll pretty much be sleeping by the mailbox until it arrives.
Avatar 7:55pm
dk:

(... and the caverns of anti-matter track is predictably fantastic.)
  7:57pm
Robert:

I'm in a similar position to you, Paul D, waiting a few more days to pledge because it's based on a tiny odd job I do on the side for a little $ as it comes, and it's likely a little more may come in the next few days.

Mark Williams:

don't mind my last name being used fellas. Stand up and be counted, I figure. Or stalked...
  8:06pm
Robert:

Don't be sorry, Siriusly. This is the 1st year in quite a few that I've felt financially justified to kick in anything. I've thought about what donations to WFMU are for. Partly it's to support these crazy guys' habit, for they'd probably be doing a little something like it for themselves even if there were no radio station or Web stream, but mostly it's to provide free entertainment to people like me, whom it's helped get thru a bad time and which is even now helping me start to climb out of it as I do lab work at home. So whether you're like I've been or like the people supporting our habit, you're good just by appreciating it.

wouldn't be surprising, bob. lomax's recordings were really important and fairly widely-distributed documents. this collection certainly isn't the first place his MS penitentiary recordings have appeared, but it's as good a collection as you're going to find.
