Hello all!
Avatar 7:08pm Looms:

What the hell is that NOISE!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm cklequ:

pledge for the noise........
  7:10pm doca:

Hi, all! @Daniel Blumin: You should play Kansas just to please Clay Pigeon.
  7:10pm doca:

BTW, got your premium. The only premium I've got. It was a tough decision but the new recorded music for it made it pass natural selection
Avatar 7:12pm Kurt Gottschalk:

somebody pledge to daniel blumin for playing a beatles cover i'd never heard before!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm steve:

ill pledge for this...
  7:15pm muhrvis:

Yeah, some nice Cale.
Avatar 7:17pm Clay Pigeon:

Pledge now to win this CD! Science Fiction Park Bundesrepublik (German Home Recording Tape Music of the 1980s)
Avatar 7:17pm Looms:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Daniel Blumin:

Pledge, mah muthas! Pledge!
Avatar 7:19pm Paul D:

I know the marathon is still going on but is Sunday the day where the station plays music only? I haven't heard much talk of the marathon on air today.
Avatar 7:20pm dale:

my bundle wad was blown on day one. i'd pledge for suicide if'n i had any more wad
Avatar 7:21pm Paul D:

is this a magazine cover?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Daniel Blumin:

Oh there'll be talking! Yes, Paul, it is!
Avatar 7:23pm Paul D:

oh thanks. thought i recognized it. great music going on tonight!
  7:25pm Ike:

Phones too quiet! We phone slaves need work to do! Pledge NOW you dirty hippies!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm steve:

Avatar 7:27pm Paul D:

When does the marathon end, i pledged but i think ima donate more on friday when i get paid again... god I'm just full of questions tonight!
Avatar 7:29pm dale:

next sunday paul
Avatar 7:29pm Paul D:

thanks dale!
  7:29pm doca:

I was listening today to Clay Pigeon's show with Alexander "Larry" Hacke and Danielle de Picciotto. It was hilarious!
  7:31pm Ike:

@Paul, it ends next Sunday. You don't have to pay now -- choose BILL ME LATER -- better chance to win a prize if you pledge earlier. Esp. now! Sun. night often a little slower. More competition towards the end.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Forgo betting on the NCAA basketball tourney this year and pledge the money to WFMU instead!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm common:

good to here you on a sunday eve clay! hey daniel! and all!
Avatar 7:37pm dale:

yeah, next year i'm not pledging the whole amount at once and getting lumped into the pre-pledgers. i had no chances to win anything.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm common:

fun machine clay? i grew up with one of those
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm steve:

i gotta know what kind of drum machine DB brought.
  7:43pm tomasz.:

i found a drum machine in a plastic bag in my garden once. best thing i ever found
Avatar 7:45pm JakeGould:

Soviet Jewry? Right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm steve:

wow tom... what was it??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm steve:

i have a drum machine obsession... i recently bought the giant "Beatbox" coffee table book of drum machines which is pretty tingly
  7:48pm muhrvis:

But Ken, if the team I bet my annual income on wins, I can pledge MORE to the station!
Avatar 7:49pm JakeGould:

Synsonics. Mattel. A drum machine sold as a toy.
  7:49pm djelrock:

You speak English with absoluyely no accent. Amazing!
  7:51pm Kevlicki:

Hi dan hey clay, thanks for all that you do for wfmu
  7:53pm Robert:

Paul D, I wouldn't stress too much over the exact ending of the marathon. I can't speak for WFMU, but as a long-time observer I can say it's been common practice for them to send premiums for pledges & donations long after the marathon period ends, pending availability of the premiums of course. Also, while they like to funnel the pledging into this small portion of the calendar, because it helps them budget for the fiscal year, they certainly accept donations year round.
Avatar 7:55pm dk:

holy cow. i was already psyched for this premium, but knowing there's an exclusive caverns of anti-matter track means i'll pretty much be sleeping by the mailbox until it arrives.
Avatar 7:55pm dk:

(... and the caverns of anti-matter track is predictably fantastic.)
  7:57pm Robert:

I'm in a similar position to you, Paul D, waiting a few more days to pledge because it's based on a tiny odd job I do on the side for a little $ as it comes, and it's likely a little more may come in the next few days.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm Siriusly:

Sorry I'm such a cheap bastard
Avatar 8:01pm Thomas Storck:

Giving away Edvard Graham Lewis's 'All Over' CD very soon! Only $20 for a chance
  8:03pm Mark Williams:

had to do it - second premium pledge this marathon. You two work well together, btw.
  8:04pm Mark Williams:

don't mind my last name being used fellas. Stand up and be counted, I figure. Or stalked...
  8:06pm Robert:

Don't be sorry, Siriusly. This is the 1st year in quite a few that I've felt financially justified to kick in anything. I've thought about what donations to WFMU are for. Partly it's to support these crazy guys' habit, for they'd probably be doing a little something like it for themselves even if there were no radio station or Web stream, but mostly it's to provide free entertainment to people like me, whom it's helped get thru a bad time and which is even now helping me start to climb out of it as I do lab work at home. So whether you're like I've been or like the people supporting our habit, you're good just by appreciating it.
  8:06pm tomasz.:

Steve - Yamaha dd-8 if i remember right. it still worked as well!
  8:07pm brycepunk:

I could only afford $20 this year. Selling my house, lots of changes... wish it could be more.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08pm Bas NL:

He, he.. i implored you to go 24/7 Clay! You're the best!
Avatar 8:09pm dale:

"Soviet Jewry" - any toronto folks know who b.b. gabor is?
  8:12pm Gabriel:

officiating directions forthcoming!
Avatar 8:12pm JakeGould:

WFMU is necessary since there are just so few places on the airwaves—let alone NYC—where people can be creative to just be creative.
Avatar 8:12pm dale:

monica got ordained I think. get her on the western electric
Avatar 8:13pm JakeGould:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm Folsom:

I love Clay's questions - if Fabio's listening, he's probably laughing his head off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm Siriusly:

Please don't cut in! lol
  8:19pm Ryab:

I've been waiting for some noisey stuff on fmu for a whiile. Thanks Daniel!
  8:20pm Ike:

@Looms, haven't seen you on the comments much lately, but you're a pledge hero!
Avatar 8:20pm dk:

i'm not the world's biggest scott walker fan, but that "a beating would do me a world of good" lyric is just perfect.
Avatar 8:21pm dale:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm Rick from SC:

I don't get this Scott walker love either
Avatar 8:24pm Looms:

Avatar 8:34pm Looms:

The songs on second disc of the Wyatt comp are not covers but collaboration tracks ; best part as far as I'm concerned. It's a great record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm Daniel Blumin:

Looms - yes - you are right! And I'm still upset that the Ultramarine collab is not on there!
  8:36pm BriJet:

You guys are great! Long live WoofMoo!
Avatar 8:36pm Looms:

Yeah, me too.
  8:41pm slawooy:

Avatar 8:42pm JakeGould:

Who is Lulu? And who banged her?
Avatar 8:42pm dk:

every time i've been in that town, everybody else at the hotel was either an IBJ member or a JM in the AM listener. karaoke nights at the hotel bar were... odd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42pm Uncle Michael:

Daniel, Clay, listeners!
Avatar 8:43pm JakeGould:

@dk: What town is that?
Avatar 8:43pm dk:

Avatar 8:47pm dk:

gratz daniel!
Avatar 8:48pm bobdoesthings:

hmmmm I had this song (Rosie) on a "intro to world music" or some bullshit course in college... they identified this song as done by the "MS State Penitentiary"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm fleep:

Congratulations and thanks to everyone who helped hit the goal.
Avatar 8:49pm bobdoesthings:

I realize it was a common hymn/work song.. but pretty sure the version I have is same people singing
Avatar 8:49pm dale:

jake - you have no idea who lulu is? to sir with love?' she dated scott walker. before she married a gibb brother. she's still hot as far as i'm concerned.
Avatar 8:51pm dk:

wouldn't be surprising, bob. lomax's recordings were really important and fairly widely-distributed documents. this collection certainly isn't the first place his MS penitentiary recordings have appeared, but it's as good a collection as you're going to find.
Avatar 8:52pm dale:

why are there mansions of gold in heaven when god wants you to NOT want gold and jewels and wealth here on this realm? i'm in a conundrum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm fleep:

Gold is the common building material in heaven, it's like sheetrock there.
Avatar 8:52pm Mary Wing:

GOAL! Congrats, Daniel!!
Avatar 8:53pm dale:

poughkeepsie to jersey city is a hike. bob is a rock star.
Avatar 8:54pm dale:

fleep - thank you for clarifying. what does one use for spackle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm Uncle Michael:

Avatar 8:55pm Looms:

Bravo, Daniel & Clay!
Avatar 8:55pm bobdoesthings:

just ASSUMIN that Blumin is your ... woo-man. ?
Avatar 8:56pm JakeGould:

@dale: No Dale, I don’t know tons of stuff about 1960s pop since I was born in 1968. But good to know what the trivial reference was about.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Poughkeepsie is the end of the line for the Metro North commuter railroad. The tracks extend north, but are used by Amtrak north of Pough.
  8:57pm tomasz.:

Parchman Farm is the MS penitentiary, i'd assume it's on the compilation because it's themed around that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57pm fleep:

dale: Not sure what it's called, but they squeeze it out of angels.
  8:57pm Ike:

I'm pretty sure that's a can of No-Ham-Bell's soy beef and fake bacon soup in Mandl's hands.
Avatar 8:59pm JakeGould:

Mandl’s got good food taste.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:01pm fleep:

Possibly the greatest marathon team evah.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:02pm Bas NL:
