We're seeing the future of television. I haven't had my TV plugged in now for almost 2 yrs. Now I doubt I'll miss much.

What’s with all of the alt-Improv that is obsessed with violence and mutilation as the joke?

Is it just me or does WFMU have a huge presence in Brooklyn?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

WFMU doesn't have as huge of a presence in Vermont, but there's me, and a few other people. We do our best, what with our t-shirts and bumper stickers.
Avatar 10:04pm
Ryab:

I just noticed a lot of pledges coming in from Brooklyn

There's plenty of WFMU supporters in Western MA, some of them go onto be Dj's when they move to NYC.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Western MA has lots of cool music-related stuff going on.

Ryab: As long as I've been listening and paying attention, which is a few decades, WFMU has always had a strong following in Brooklyn. If my memory serves me, because of the signal and placement of the transmitter, pre-Internet, it was very hard to get WFMU in Manhattan, but it came in loud-and-clear in Brooklyn.

The WFMU marathon map might be a helpful indicator of where listeners come from - www.wfmu.org...

Wendy, happy to hear Vermont is being as weird as it should!
  10:29pm
Listener Robert:

Only problem now is, as a result of this show, are we supposed to interpret "Prove It All Night" henceforth ironically?
  10:33pm
Jimbo:

How so Robert?
  10:34pm
JakeGould:

@ListenerRobert: The show works visually via the stream.

You see? That last sketch about animal rape is like… What was that? If you were just listening to the radio.
  10:53pm
Listener Robert:

I've been watching full screen via WFMU's UStream page, so not coming here often to comment. That last guy should instead have had the 2nd photo of the starfish be it flipped over on the other side.

Listener Robert:

JakeGould, it's called Grand Guignol. You ever see Kevin James's magic act?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:15pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Grand Guignol' are words I know from the book 'The Monster Show' by David J. Skal (a history of Horror)

I didn't even know they had a Web site! I just heard them talk at a LBC anarchist forum.

The fun is when you know that they don't know that you know you're being watched.
