Hey folks if you're Rec Fair bound from midtown Manhtn, take the 7 or E or F* to Court Square in Queens and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound G train. Then it's just 2 stops! (F is helpfully re-routed all weekend via Court Sq.! Yay!)
Michael Shelley live from the 2015 WFMU Record Fair -- Brooklyn Expo Center, 79 Franklin St., Brooklyn -- Come on out!
See you soon record fair!
jealous, Marcel. I'm stuck at stupid work :(
@Mike: Will you make it over at all this w/e?
nah man...gotta work tomorrow too! covering for my coworker who's bro is getting married. Got my daughter with me, too, so I can't even head over when I finish here...wouldn't be fair to her. Usually she accompanies me to the record fair, but to have her all day at work, then to another non kid activity...gotta draw the line.
there's always next year...
Working too, maybe I can get in later or early tomorrow...
Ahhh. I see. Well see you next year! Have a good weekend anyway Mike.
you too, Marcel. Hope you find some good stuff!
This guy and his 10 inch is a bit Randy. And a braggart: 7 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch… Those are all above average diameters!
wake up, todd.
So weird, apparently the right wing was always terrible at music.
as well as every thing else.
@Glenn I'd give you a like or a thumbs up if I could
You don’t write good music with a flat ass.
No Michael? No playlist? Is this Saturday?
this is funky
Just a reminder -- Michael Shelley is currently broadcasting live from the 2015 WFMU Record Fair (Brooklyn Expo Center, 79 Franklin St., Brooklyn. Come on out!)

I miss the Decedent feature! I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Glenn Jones and XRay got in trouble for something they said in the church
Larrabee St.! For which the character of Larrabee on "Get Smart" (The Chief's assistant) was named. Mike, your Dad certainly lived in the right place at the right time, your visits there must have been pretty magical for an East Coast kid...
Very thoughtful about the time of day & music choice. Notice that in her new time slot, Ms. Berg doesn't play the wake-up music she used to play on Mon. mornings?
re: Beverly "Happy New Year" -- the first single on the Deram label in the UK! Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Nicky Hopkins and Andy White are backing Beverly Martin on this track.
I had to geek out...
The record fair was a massive yearly tradition for me when I lived out in Morris County. Tunin in from Denver now, wish I could be there!!
