way back in 1970-ish the AM radio station i listened to out of buffalo, wkbw, had the best deejay. he played music on his show not heard on typical AM top-40. Tim Kelly was his name, i think. one day i'm listening and he played this wrangly folk-singer-type guy: ramblin' jack elliot.. i think tim kelly went on to deejay in texas after a while, the googles told me so.

ESP strikes again. Fascinating story, and what a roster of artists passed thru the studios. Never would have known a thing about it, except for the Fun 91:-D

Recently bought Phil Ochs Live in Lancing 1973. Mainly to hear Phil when things were getting darker. It holds up really well. Caught him just before the end. These songs kind of capture that period.

Phil's sister, Sunny, was a deejay at WRPI, she had a top-notch show..

G' morning. I always liked the picture of Phil on the back of Pleasures of the Harbor album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46am
Brian in UK:

@LynnsBrother with his daughter Meegan, it is lovely. The front cover with the Lenny Bruce's tatty coat and torn left elbow does him no favours. Mind you CD covers now do no one any favours.

Delightful selection of spins this morning, Jeffrey, accompanying the arrival of the Sun for the first time after many, many grey days. Greatly appreciated here in New Scotland.
