Interesting choice . . . Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
  9:26am William:

Nice to hear from Colours. Some gems on that LP.
Avatar 9:28am Melissa Jean:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29am melinda:

Nice to hear Jo Stafford again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am Stevel:

Alan Price is incredible. Never heard of him. What a feeling!
Avatar 9:51am Bob Brainen:

Thanks all, glad you're on board!
  9:52am Jack:

@ Stevel - "Oh Lucky Man!" is a great Alan Price album, and he's in the movie of the same name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Alan Price took a writing credit on 'House of the Rising Sun' & so got major royalties & this came between him & the others Animals I have read. You can see him drinking & hanging affably w/ Dylan in 'Don't Look Back'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11am Mike East:

@Rev Rabbit - isn't it Alan Price who opens the beer on the piano and chips some of wood off it?
  10:11am William:

I believe Jerry Corbitt passed on in the last year or so. His solo albums are solid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- sounds exactly right MikeE - been a while I've seen it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...he tells Dylan about Donovan: 'He's a good guitar player - better than you!'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am Mike East:

yeah, me too. Love that flick...young people being young people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- perfect flip to 'Hard Day's Night'...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Mike East:

absolutely!
  10:22am mrmucho:

Oh this is a real treat, Bob
  10:25am Stuart rose:

Was that Jm Lowe the former WNEW-AM jock?

Jack, you're right about Lucky Man being an exceptional album. Price did a couple of other albums worth checking out. The names escape me. He always choose/wrote good songs and arranged them elegantly(but not bloodlessly),

Bob, the accent in Naftuli is in the secnd syllable. I love your applying Apollonian/ Dionysian classification to those old Klezmer players.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27am Stevel:

"...haddya like that? a flat tyah."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am Stevel:

Thanks all, for the Alan Price info.

So good to be listening live this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am Ken From Hyde Park:

Morning, folks.
Avatar 10:34am j sakaarson:

It's pretty common with metal bands. Black Sabbath (technically named themselves after the song), Angel Witch, Iron Maiden, Manowar, to name a few
  10:35am MONEYBAG$:

yesterday a local show did 2 hours of songs where the artist's name is mentioned in the song but is NOT the title
Avatar 10:35am JoshWPRB:

There is no better bed music. Always start my Saturdays with Bob. Unstoppable.
  10:35am MONEYBAG$:

Bo was also in that
  10:36am P-90:

Bad Company by Bad Company from their album, Bad Company
  10:36am William:

Sea Train by Sea Train from the album Sea Train
  10:38am Stuart Rose:

What a shame Michael Brown and Steve Martin didn't collaborate regularly over the years.
  10:41am P-90:

btw, there are also clips of Alan Price, performing the songs, worked into the movie "O Lucky Man", unusual for a dramatic film.
  10:43am William:

Jerry Corbitt died March 2014. Lung cancer. Found it on J.C. Young's Facebook page.
