...Bill Kelly's kinda hippies - Blue Cheer !
  3:14pm ?:

A band name that lasted longer than the detergent
Avatar 3:15pm Mailman Tom:

I met the members of Blue Cheer at the Fillmore East in April 1968. They played a great set of music!
Avatar 3:17pm herb.nyc:

i saw BILL in "sex and broadcasting", last night. he was not involved in the former, fortunately.
  3:23pm NJ Ed:

Good that Bill is in the movie since Black Hole of Rock and Roll is definative. I got to check it out soon.
  3:25pm Jack:

Love Blue Cheer, especially OutsideInside, also Leigh Stephens' Red Weather.
  3:28pm Jack:

I'm with you, Bill Kelly. My favorite Beach Boys tune still is "I Get Around" (or maybe "409") after that they went downhill.
  3:45pm Nate Dogg:

I love "I Get Around" - it's got that enthusiasm that only comes with young rock stars flush with their first taste of freedom and $$$. I put the Kinks' "Till The End Of The Day" in the same category.
Avatar 3:47pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- good call NateD. Seems to me 'I Get Around' is the precursor to 'My Generation' even ('just because we'...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Philthy woman:

noice
  3:57pm Nate Dogg:

Oh right, never made that connection. Cool. Those entitled 60s teenagers!
  4:00pm Jack:

Keith Moon was a Beach Boys fan, sang "Barbara Ann"...

  7:05pm Clueless in Clifton:

Sex and Broadcasting"?
  9:38pm Armour T. Unrue:

The lead singer of the Honeys was Brian Wilson's girlfriend, later wife, Marilyn.
  10:12pm Sultan of Surf:

I knew Brian was doodling one of 'em.
