Voivod (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Voivod is a Canadian heavy metal band from Jonquière, Québec. Their musical style has changed several times since the band's origin in the early 1980s. Starting out as a speed metal band, Voivod have added a mix of progressive metal and thrash metal to create their own unique metal style.
You know what has some good whistling? That new Adam Lambert song, "Ghost Town". The lyrics are drivel, but he has a great voice, and the house beat on the break is vicious. Can't wait for this to be remixed to death.
Something that threw me off with that Psychedelic Pill record was how straight and clean the drums sounded. I always liked how sloppy Crazy Horse was... but I did enjoy that record over all.
what about the seed patenting? anything on their seed patenting?

The Secret Canadian Complaints Choir would be nice . Them smug sum bitches would have you think that they are too polite to complain, what, with being Canadians, but I'm not buying it. I think they have some serious gripes.
Right! Just came to me: The "Stick mud in people's heads…" sample was used in Jay's audio collage theme for the old 'Thunk Tank.' Glad I remembered that, would've bugged me all day...
Jun 28, 2015: Update on Joni's health
Leslie Morris, Joni's conservator, has approved the following statement to be made through JoniMitchell.com: "Joni did in fact suffer an aneurysm. However, details that have emerged in the past few days are mostly speculative. The truth is that Joni is speaking, and she's speaking well. She is not walking yet, but she will be in the near future as she is undergoing daily therapies. She is resting comfortably in her own home and she's getting better each day. A full recovery is expected." You may leave your well wishes for Joni at WeLoveYouJoni.com
"someone.." , I added SIX women to the schedule this time. And you bitch about ghettoizing the "chicks" to Tuesday? And you do so anonymously? Go away.
Canadian bands? Broken Social Scene! youtu.be... Oh, it's a testament to how much Arcade Fire sucks that I beg you, if you think of playing Arcade Fire please play Rush.
Well, Greece knuckled-under, everyone who matters is happy, so the markets are up.
(Incidentally, 'programme' is one of those words many Canadians have taken to misspelling after the manner of the U. S..) (I didn't write `American-style'because Canadians insist that they are Americans, and they are technically-correct---the _best_ kind of correct.)
The USA is like Canada's macho older brother, who goes out and makes waves and makes a fool of himself and doesn't care, while Canada is the sensible nerdy younger brother who both looks up to USA and facepalms at his antics. And he's secretly a little jealous and wishes he had that kind of confidence. Sometimes the two brothers get in heated arguments with even a little shoving, but in the end they give each other a big hug and nothing will come between them.
@ P-90: Croby's big mouth ("Paul McCartney told me everybody should take LSD.") got him kicked out of the Byrds. Decades later he bad-mouths Daryl Hannah and Neil Young stops talking to him. Now he's talking out of his ass about his ex-girlfriend. Guy's consistent, gotta hand him that...

Once saw an amazing quartet at the Knitting Factory, Jamaldeen Tacuma on Bass, George Adams on sax, James "Blood" Ulmer on guitar, and Rashid Ali on drums. Tacuma tried to bum cigarettes from us, and we don't smoke
