Hiya! I hope you survived your holiday weekend with all your fingers intact.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am Therese:

Hello! Yes, I remain in possession of all fingers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08am Scott Williams:

Hitting it hard outta the gate, Therese! Maybe the best video ever made? youtu.be...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:09am Therese:

Scott! You are going to make me miscue records!!!
Avatar 12:10am ! I X Key !:

One of my fingers is not intact & has to do with a legal marriage proposal this past week
  12:11am JakeGould:

@BGZ: I found a dud M60 on the ground today. Contemplated exploding it until I realized that M60s aren’t fun, they just make a BANG and maybe blow off fingers. So opened it and shook the gunpowder into the sewer… Now if I found a pack of bottle rockets or a roman candle… Boy howdy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13am fleep:

More flanging!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13am Ike:

I'd like to think that even if I hadn't heard this version of "Dear Prudence" first, I'd still recognize that it's superior to the original.
Avatar 12:14am ! I X Key !:

Avatar 12:17am BadGuyZero:

Siouxsie & The Banshees cover of "Helter Skelter" is also excellent.
Avatar 12:22am ! I X Key !:

! Siouxie & wearers of black !
Avatar 12:25am ! I X Key !:

Oops sorry I'm sorry again
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Scott Williams:

Therese! I'm sure it'll be worth it!

My high school chemistry teacher suggested I pursue a career as a disc jockey.
Avatar 12:35am BadGuyZero:

That may have been a ploy to keep me away from mixing chemicals professionally.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36am coelacanth:

good morning Therese and morphous blob units
Avatar 12:37am ! I X Key !:

In terms of Mr. Hubbard & the tech, I realized that maybe the main reason I've ever mentioned it is that I have been disseminating the tech, as I was brainwashed to do. I always say "The tech says..."

It makes me sad
Avatar 12:38am ! I X Key !:

What a weird thing to realize
  12:40am JakeGould:

@IXKey: When you act in a dichotomy over something you are often still reacting to the same thing… Just stretching another muscle… So if you realize that, then you don’t have to stretch either muscle. or some nonsense like that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41am fleep:

Social concept is 'negative star.' Someone you don't like but can't stop talking about how much you don't like them. Energy drain. Advice: stop.
  12:43am JakeGould:

And ambivalence is often the goal of most therapy. So you don’»t get angry or stimulated… Just “Meh…” about something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Ike:

An amorphous blob of English teachers is exactly what we need -- if it's willing to roll and float around and frighten everybody who puts up all those signs mangling the language!
Avatar 12:47am ! I X Key !:

! It is so difficult to be not suppressive )o:
Avatar 12:50am ! I X Key !:

I try not to think about it
  12:52am JakeGould:

@Ike: So are you connected to that FM radio scanning project?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53am Tome:

.. not never was a big stones fan but this one I always lked ,, and a few others from the mick taylor time ,,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00am Ī Ҡ ℰ:

I'm acquainted w/that gentleman, @Jake, and we share tips. He has a much better location than I do for pirate scanning (near Bklyn College, so basically right in the heart of the Brooklyn pirate whirlpool).
Avatar 1:01am BadGuyZero:

Sounds like 1971 was a banner year for The Marquee Club.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am coelacanth:

i'm very into the 'stones, up to and including goats head soup (& nothing at all since!); and Mick Taylor was the best thing that ever happened to them.
their best album, and last great album, was very Mick Taylored.(sticky fingers)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am Ike:

(Jake is referring to this: soundcloud.com... )

And yeah, the Soup Dragons don't age well.
  1:11am JakeGould:

Remember when “Soup Dragons” and “James” were two bands being hyped at the same time?
Avatar 1:13am ! I X Key !:

Please respect sharks
Please love sharks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14am Tome:

.... while their still plentiful in the ocean ,,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am Ike:

Oh yes. James even did an album with Eno. Holds up better than Soup Dragons.
  1:17am JakeGould:

I distinctly remember seeing James’ “Gold Mother” being released/promoted with Soup Dragons’ “Love God” at the same time in the U.S. in 1990 or so. en.wikipedia.org...
Avatar 1:19am ! I X Key !:

poor endangered nice sharks
  1:20am JakeGould:

@Therese: Don’t watch those “area nutball” shows. That’s why I watch Sanford & Son… I know exactly what might happen.
Avatar 1:20am BadGuyZero:

There's a digital subchannel in DFW called Justice Network that airs reality crime shows around the clock. I'm sure it's available in other parts of the country.
1:22am Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Just remember, sharks are more afraid of you than you are of them. Also, I'm pretty sure they're fans of this show.
  1:22am rw:

Therese, Please don't get eaten by a shark!
  1:25am JakeGould:

Sharks could care less about me. I’m that cool.
  1:26am johnk77:

Jellyfish heaven is full of dead jellyfish ♫♫

  1:39am Michael and Birgit:

Good Morning,

good start in the working week…

Thank you for Spacemen 3...
  1:40am johnk77:

for the win!
  1:40am Rasputin:

How do I suffer through 3 weeks of Therese-withdrawal?
Avatar 1:51am BadGuyZero:

@Rasputin: Archives of Therese's previous shows.
  1:55am KP:

Hey Therese
Avatar 2:08am BadGuyZero:

Sounds like "Forensic Files" would have been a more appropriate title for this Gwydion record.
Avatar 2:12am egal:

It was traditional for British royals to be buried in car parks.
Avatar 2:17am BadGuyZero:

Danny Devito?
Avatar 2:20am egal:

The remains of King Henry I are believed to have also been discovered under a car park.
Avatar 2:25am BadGuyZero:

This Weather Warlock track sounds like an outtake from Pink Floyd's "Meddle."
  2:38am KP:

Full Blooded Gob or half blooded bog
  2:44am KP:

This reminds of If Tomorrow wasn't such s long time
Avatar 2:46am BadGuyZero:

This Lonna Kelley record is sooooooo good!
Avatar 2:57am BadGuyZero:

I had "The Muppet Movie" soundtrack on 8-track when I was a kid. We didn't have anything that played 8-tracks in the house so I would sit in our Datsun and listen to it.
Avatar 2:58am BadGuyZero:

We had some weird 8-track that also had a citizens band radio. My parents had the CB antenna removed when we got the car because they were afraid my brother and I would hear naughty words.
Avatar 2:59am BadGuyZero:

Enjoy your time away, Therese. See you back here in three weeks.

I wish it was then now.
  3:09am Steve-O:

Hi Therese! Sorry I forgot to stop by earlier, but this was a wonderful show, as is the usual. I really do hope you enjoy your beach vacation, and that all goes well! (And don't worry, we'll definitely be looking forward to Christina's first show next week!). =D

Best of luck to ya, and we'll miss you bunches. =)
