Good morning, Bob and all my fellow Brainenites.
  9:02am TimBrosnan:

Good morning Bob and fellow fans. Greetings from Metuchen.
9:06am David in ATL from NJ:

Good morning, Bob and other morning risers. First time I ever heard the "Where'd You Go Last Night". Great original and covered so wonderfully by PJO.
Avatar 9:07am jamesie:

Good morning Bob and listeners. I recall my first pop concert was in 1964 at the Royal Albert Hall when I saw Bill Haley and his Comets. I was amazed at the double bassist who rode on top of his bass.

Hi Bob and Saturday morning folks
Avatar 9:12am Bob Brainen:

Morning all!
Avatar 9:14am Bob Brainen:

Wow Jamesie, you saw Bill Haley! Pretty cool.
Makes sense they'd make most of their living outside the US by that time-until the revival.
  9:17am TimBrosnan:

Quite the upbeat start here! I love it.
9:35am David in ATL from NJ:

Was that you, Bob, whistling through the end of that last song?
Avatar 9:36am annie:

the delis used to sell it by the slice, halvah that is..
9:36am David in ATL from NJ:

Sorry, I guess that's the song you are doing your back announcing in.

My bad.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:42am WilliamfromDumont:

What about the horse replacing Crosby on the cover of Notorious?
Avatar 9:44am Bob Brainen:

I think that's an urban legend-but a good one to think of Wm!
Avatar 9:45am Bob Brainen:

Dave, i WISH I could whistle like that. My father could, but I can't...
  9:46am TimBrosnan:

How about Brian Jones on the cover of England's Newest Hitmakers? Or David Sancious on the back cover of Bruce's Wild & Innocent?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 9:46am WilliamfromDumont:

You mean the horse doesn't play on any tracks?
9:48am David in ATL from NJ:

I LOVE these alternate tracks by the Kinks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49am melinda:

This Kinks is hitting the spot.
Avatar 9:57am Bob Brainen:

RE: Crosby/horse, I think the album cover was done after Crosby was "let go." / Tim B: Well, BJ is on the album (?)
Wild & Innocent-not that familiar w/ but sounds like good example.
Thanks.
Avatar 9:59am annie:

i've been watching the Dobie Gillis show archives, this lingo in the "HD" track has the same rhythm
  10:02am TimBrosnan:

Oh got it now. Sorry. Yes they're both on the albums but I don't think Sancious (or drummer Vini Lopez) were still in the band by the tme it was released.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am Dano59:

played yr newest premium last night Bob, it's great! (and yes this is really my avatar)

H&O kinda' rule..
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:13am WilliamfromDumont:

Was Daryl Hall in the band Gulliver?
  10:15am Jack:

Speaking of Todd & Hall & Oates, their War Babies album sounds to me kind of "Utopia-ish". I like it a lot.
  10:15am Stuart Rose:

Among a whole sweet bunch of music I never knew, NRBQ is, Bob, I've got to thank you for hipping me to.
I knew the name from Village Voice music ads from the 70s and 80s but never heard their records.
10:20am David in ATL from NJ:

@ Stuart: You've got a lot of wonderful music in NRBQ. Welcome to the club!
10:21am David in ATL from NJ:

That Hall & Oates track was wonderful, Bob.
  10:22am TimBrosnan:

@ Stuart - You're in for a treat! I was waitin' on some Herbie Nichols.... and there it is!! Thanks, Bob.
Avatar 10:30am herb.nyc:

hi all. i was playing this show LOUD at home, but am now at library; SHHHH. but that UTOPIA song was great. i thought it was XTC for a second. thanks!
10:38am David in ATL from NJ:

Bob, or a listener, please give me the definitive H&O album to own, if you don't mind. I have nothing.
  10:45am TimBrosnan:

@ David - Private Eyes and Voices had some hits but I've always liked the debut album Whole Oats. I believe BB played a track from it about a month ago maybe - possibly Waterwheel?
  10:50am Stuart Rose:

Yeah, Tim, Bob played Waterwheel a few weeks back. I don't know the whole album, but that first outing by H

Satchmo!!
Avatar 10:57am Bob Brainen:

Hall and oates-tough one a best of/greatest hits or 1st lp (?)
  10:57am Stuart Rose:

Too bad Deram Dayze isn't available in CD.
And on vinyl it's real, real expensive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am Ken From Hyde Park:

Oh dear. One of those egregious technical errors. Good show, otherwise.
