The Unsolicited Return of the Winter Soul-stice (fill-in for Paul Bruno)
(More info...)
You can't stop the seasons from turning, and you evidently also can't stop an old dog from performing his one old trick. Answering the teeming clamor of one New York Times food columnist
, Gaylord Fields is returning to WFMU's airwaves for a one-off Winter Soul-stice program. In his time away he's learned nothing, so the format will remain the same: two hours of original 1960s soul 45s, and the abuse of an expensive reverb machine for the sake of corny vocal effects.
i bought suspira in a cut out bin in 1978. my friend bought marshall tucker or cdb and we heard that first then i put on goblin. i loved it and he thought i was nuts.

@sugarwolf, she wrote a series about a damaged punk photographer named Cass Neary, who is a badass--not unlike Hand herself, methinks.

She has also written YA and fantasy, I haven't delved into those yet. But I am anxiously awaiting Cass Neary's third adventure. The first was set in Iceland; the second in Maine. Cass 3 is gonna take place in London.
@dale: They're very similar albums, and both fine examples of squares successfully going "groovy" -- what I'll term "Nehru jacket pop."

Olá, Gaylord! I decided to write just because of Jorge Ben. I don't know if you looked up, but this is what canjica means: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canjica_%28dish%29
