  12:34pm Nate K:

That Sadies tune was a contender for better-than-the-original status, with apologies to the King. But seriously!
Avatar 12:35pm Joe B:

no argument here Nate!
  12:37pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

@Nate K, I agree!!! Can't believe I'm missing some Canadian faves because I'll be in Canada!

Avatar 1:00pm David Shortell:

I was just searching for the audio archive of the Y2K live set the Insomniacs did for Three Chord Monte that includes their rendition of "Stick With Her" (www.wfmu.org...).
It's apparently unavailable, though I do remember leaving work early so I could record it at home! I probably still have the cassette.
Avatar 1:03pm Mailman Tom:

They've got that Velvet Underground vibe going on !

The Bev.
  1:50pm Hackensack Slim:

Hey Joe,
If you listen to that Neil Young song in the next room, as I just did, you can't hear the bongos and the preachy lyrics are incomprehensible. But, the rocking comes through. Problem solved.
Avatar 1:54pm David Shortell:

Eastern Anchors say they're from Red Bank.
Avatar 1:56pm Joe B:

thanks David!

Insomniacs on 3CM was pre-archives. i have it somewhere
Avatar 1:57pm David Shortell:

I caught Craig Newell's Elvis act for the Wounded Warrior Project in the courtyard of Seaside Heights' Hershey Motel this past Friday.
I had to leave early when I ran out of quarters. That's some exorbitant street parking!
Avatar 1:58pm Claw!:

Aw, I missed my favorite Suzi song! :-(
  2:10pm phat:

This Susan Cowsill song has one hell of a chorus.
  2:12pm phat:

hells bells. that's quite a song.
Avatar 2:13pm David Shortell:

Speaking of that old LA group Clear Light, I understand they once played in NYC's Tompkins Square Park! 'Twas an Abbie Hoffman organized show with Country Joe and the Fish in the summer of '67. Pictures of it can be found here:
  2:17pm Detroit:

We have a guy trying to shave his ears off since I turned on the show. kill this shifty record!
  2:18pm sue a:

funny they said "watch out for that car" b/c i was thinking the same thing.
Avatar 2:19pm David Shortell:

I saw a free Susan Cowsill show in Toms River this past May. The Cowsills play in New Jersey four times next week as part of the "Happy Together" tour. Details here:
  2:21pm Pat Byrne:

My theme song!
  2:22pm Nate K:

Which one, Pat?
Avatar 2:24pm V Priceless:

Capt. Sensible does a great version of "I Get So Excited"
  2:25pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Yes, @Pat Byrne, what's your theme?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm Carmichael:

This Daddy Long Legs is pretty boogeyin'!
  2:28pm Nate K:

There's a new Hi-Tone, actually. Bigger and not necessarily badder, but a good venue.
Avatar 2:33pm Cecile:

this sounds like June of '44 versus White Hills or something
  2:44pm Nate K:

Dig this Pronto song.
  2:47pm Amy:

I'm digging this Danish punkish power pop.
  2:51pm Amy:

Deh Hoy-eh Hell-eh, approximately.
