Finally caught up with that infamous episode of RUN FOR YOUR LIFE with Mel Tormé as an obnoxious entertainer (hopefully not getting type cast). He also scripted it. And he also performs 3 songs. Tormé 's character has lines of jive patter you wouldn't believe ("Too many creeps with autograph books. I don't dig that scene").
The first 10 minutes of it are like his own program that star Ben Gazzara just happened to wander into.
