Avatar 12:39am warhamster:

Was this on Lost Highways?
Avatar 12:40am (Eyepatch) Fox:

Yes, it was in Lost Highway.
Avatar 12:40am (Eyepatch) Fox:

I actually caught this tour. It was one of the two best shows I've ever been at.
Avatar 12:41am warhamster:

Clearly, I'm drunk to have included that "s".
  12:43am cheri:

i just want to know, julie if you still enjoy commeting about the show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am ─¬ke & Ram:

When I left Maryland & WHFS and came to the NYC area and heard WDRE, I was seriously NOT impressed. Tighter, more repetitive playlist. But maybe WFMU had already infected me slightly, even after just a few weeks.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:44am Julie:

what was the other one?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:46am Julie:

doing some serious chair dancing here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am coelacanth:

the constant interruption in the music stream here is not an excellent reason to be cheerful.
Avatar 12:49am warhamster:

Abba!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49am coelacanth:

ah,maybe that's it. i bypassed the router. got through the whole non-single ending without a hitch.
Avatar 12:50am (Eyepatch) Fox:

The other show? Pigface in 1997 (I think? or 1996?)
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:50am Julie:

HELLS YEAH ABBA
  12:50am Kmo:

Listening to music stream and not experiencing dropouts with this show. Maybe your gear is flaking.
Avatar 12:50am warhamster:

I saw Pigface that year, too, and that was a fantastic tour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51am coelacanth:

Thanx Kmo. i think it's my router.
Avatar 12:52am warhamster:

Okay, this is amazing Abba.
  12:52am cheri:

i must cut out for real, but in all seriousness hope i see you again soon, julie
  12:54am Kmo:

@coelacanth, your router cannot handle the dark night? :-)
  12:54am bunches of lunches:

Hey be happy! I am cuz Dark Night Julie's on!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54am Ike & Ram:

Well that's not creepy at all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am coelacanth:

ha!...or maybe it's having trouble with the Bright, cheery Julie tonight!
Avatar 12:59am (Eyepatch) Fox:

warhamster: They toured with FM Einheit. And Genesis was dressed like a tranny Hitler, screaming in gibberish German between sets. I was at this tiny venue in Manhattan, and I just remember the crowd was a writhing crazed mess, and I touched every member of the band, started spontaeneously making out with my ex because the energy was so insane.
Avatar 1:00am BadGuyZero:

"The Nomi Song" is one of the best music documentaries I've seen.
Avatar 1:00am warhamster:

;) I was probably at the same show. I lived in Manhattan then. Was that at the Pyramid?
  1:02am Dr Von Dee:

Good to hear your voice on the airwaves again Julie!
Avatar 1:03am (Eyepatch) Fox:

Nah, I think it was at Tramp's?
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:04am Julie:

hey there Dr Von Dee, thank you!
Avatar 1:05am warhamster:

Oh yeah! I forgot that place existed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am fleep:

Yma Sumacish.
  1:05am Dr Von Dee:

There are few more soothing sounds than your voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am Ike:

Agreed!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:08am Julie:

oh man I remember Tramps too!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:09am Andrew Waterloo:

Been a long time since I've heard Collide
Avatar 1:13am (Eyepatch) Fox:

People were grabbing onto the pipes in the cieiling, it was so low!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14am coelacanth:

i cut down something sumacish a few days ago.
Avatar 1:17am warhamster:

I remember that show being way more intense then when I saw them at the Limelight a couple years later.
Avatar 1:18am (Eyepatch) Fox:

I guess it'd have to be, in such a small place, as compared to Limelight. So much space to fill with energy! Man, though.... Pigface in Limelight... sounds amazing.
Avatar 1:27am BadGuyZero:

At a Pigface show in Dallas circa 1994/95 Mary Mary brought out an inflatable raft and floated around on the crowd for part of the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37am Ike:

Wow, I haven't heard this probably since it came out in 1994.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37am neilwarren:

Julie, you're the best
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:38am Julie:

oh Ike I love this album
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:38am Julie:

why thank you neilwarren!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:45am Julie:

I keep hoping Milla will make another album. She does have a few demos on her website, but those are very old now
Avatar 1:47am warhamster:

Ugh, I gave myself a neck ache reding the comments.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:48am Julie:

owww how'd you do that?
Avatar 1:49am warhamster:

stupid uncomfortable couch.
Avatar 1:50am warhamster:

Joni Mitchell, make everything better!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52am Ike:

PJ Harvey deep cut!
  1:57am Tommy:

PJ Harvey , no way ! fantastic..great show
Avatar 1:58am warhamster:

"fur" or "fir"?
Avatar 2:01am (Eyepatch) Fox:

BAdGuyZero- That sounds like a great solution to crowd surfing, without the sexual molestation or theft.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:06am Julie:

Do fur and fir sound different? It is Mercury Fur, and I don't know really what that re-furs to.
Avatar 2:06am warhamster:

That play sounds amazing!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:11am Julie:

I knew what it was about and it was even more disturbing than I expected. it's amazing the interesting stuff going on in tiny little off-bway theatres.
Avatar 2:12am BadGuyZero:

C-R-A-N-E-S!!!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:17am Julie:

I will forever kick myself for not seeing Cranes play live
Avatar 2:19am warhamster:

I remember seeing some great plays in NYC, and our little theater here in Bellingham, WA gets some good shows (The Pillowman was the last one I was really excited for), but we're hopelessly behind the times.
Avatar 2:19am warhamster:

Alao, ditto on the Cranes.
Avatar 2:21am BadGuyZero:

I saw them once when I lived in Seattle. I could have stayed home and stared at a photo of them while listening to their records and had the same experience as seeing them live.

Rasputina opened. They were fabulous.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:23am Julie:

that rasputina/eliza bill is gonna be fab
Avatar 2:32am warhamster:

Okay, I love the show, but my presence is requested out of the house. Thanks so much!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:32am Julie:

thanks so much for listening warhamster!
Avatar 2:41am (Eyepatch) Fox:

I depart. TTFN!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:42am Julie:

Avatar 2:46am BadGuyZero:

Have a good night, Fox!
Avatar 2:54am Jay/London:

oh donna summer cover ... good version just tuned in .. good morning all :)
Avatar 2:58am BadGuyZero:

It was great hearing you on the interwaves again, Julie!
