I queued for hours in the rain to see Bansky vs. Bristol Museum, and it was well worth it. This looks even more so.

No, he had done that, on a small scale in the British Museum in London. In Bristol, he made a deal with the management who told all the staff they were renovating the building and gave them a couple of weeks (I think) paid leave. Bansky and friends then used that time to take over the museum, subverting exhibits, adding new ones, etc. with hardly anyone knowing it was happening until the exhibition opened. Brilliant stuff, and wildly popular (perhaps the most popular art exhibition ever in the UK??)
