Listener comments!

Avatar 12:10am slugluv1313:

good evening, Wm. and listeners!
WOW The Cure, very cool . . . (my favorite album of theirs)
Avatar 12:12am Wm.:

  12:13am Tommy:

The Cure cures me every time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20am Ken From Hyde Park:

Blahr...missed The Cure. I'll be here for a little while, anyway.
  12:36am JakeGould:

I’m back…
  12:41am turbokid j.r.:

stop bitching about the heat.
  12:45am guy:

that's turbo kid j.r.....
  12:46am JakeGould:

Let today’s NYC/NJ/NY-State heat blast be the last of this level for the rest of the year. Damn, it’s nasty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am Rory:

Damn Wm. you really do hate summer haha! I like extreme weather. I like when the weather works against people and they complain. Hot, cold, wet, snow and storms whatever. I don't give a fuck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49am Tome:

..have to be out in it man ,, great show WB as always too !
Avatar 12:50am Wm.:

Autumn is where it's at for me, I like a taste of cold... Like to wear a jacket and jeans. CAN'T WAIT to file these ridiculous shorts away for another year.
  12:51am sivad:

hush little baby... don't say a word. Mama's here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am Rory:

Yes, autumn especially around Halloween is the best time of the year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am coelacanth:

greetings all.
(i agree with Rory, kinda. i like all weather.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53am coelacanth:

(Rory @11:48 that is)
Avatar 12:55am slugluv1313:

i like the change of the seasons -- would get bored outta my skull being somewhere where the weather is the same ALL the time
i like Spring best -- a TOUCH of humidity is pleasant, but not this sweltering mess (especially when i have to do laundry and other boring household stuff with no air conditioning)
  12:55am sleepy:

do you have any TKK?
Avatar 12:56am slugluv1313:

Hallowe'en is the best
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56am Rory:

I love snow but hate winter. Winter without snow is just pointless. I start getting really depressive around February I''m just done with the cold and dark nights by then
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58am Rory:

Slugluv1313, I love spring. Really stormy time of year where I live. Whenever I see a tornado warning I get all excited haha
Avatar 12:58am Wm.:

I agree there, too, Rory. The trick is to hightail it to the Pac NW.
Avatar 12:59am Wm.:

Thrill Kill Kult? I'll look for it ....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00am coelacanth:

if i was forced to choose,i'd choose autumn, because i like the wind. but that might be romantisising the idea of change.
Avatar 1:00am slugluv1313:

Daisy Chain for Jesus . . . i live for drugs :)
  1:01am sleepy:

yeah! sexplosion!
Avatar 1:02am slugluv1313:

@ Rory -- ya, February seems to be exceptionally depressing for a lot of people
i remember Winters being a lot more severe when i was a kid, LOTS of snow! and this was just in central/rural/suburban NJ! so yeah, i hate Winter without snow
Avatar 1:03am slugluv1313:

Sex on Wheelz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07am coelacanth:

i'd rather have the snow, but i think winter is beautiful either way. i love the stark naked trees and simple landscapes. (but not if there's old grey snow-based substance visible)
...not that i like simple or stark better than lush, though.)
Avatar 1:07am slugluv1313:

we got instant action, deep satisfaction . . .
  1:15am sleepy:

fuck yeah. thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15am Rory:

Ride For Revenge and Father Murphy. Two bands I've been waiting years to hear on MCoQ and the time has finally come!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16am Rory:

Maybe you played Ride For Revenge before Wm. I think?
Avatar 1:19am Wm.:

I'm sure! ...I also played Father Murphy a few weeks ago for the first time. Sometimes enjoyable home listening does not always translate into immediate radio play for me, has to feel like the right time, it's a cerebral filter thing...
  1:23am JakeGould:

I like spring and fall. Then winter. Then summer. I can always layer on more stuff to be warm; can’t take off more to be cool in the heat.
Avatar 1:23am slugluv1313:

daisy chain 4 satan DUH
guess my brain just processed it as jesus, more *blasphemous*
thank you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am Rory:

That's why I never request anything. I don't want to take the DJ out of his or her flow.
Avatar 1:25am Wm.:

Sometimes a request can suggest an unconsidered path... I play too much black metal anyway, and am always left with a pile of unplayed stuff like this.... And a daisy chain for anyone is never a bad thing!
  1:32am JakeGould:

You know, fancy places don’t take “requests” but they are open to “suggestions.” Like places that have “Suggestion Boxes” and all that.
  1:34am JakeGould:

Like also, “Suggested Retail Price.” There is no such thing as a “Requested Retail Price.”
Avatar 1:34am Bryce:

oh man, this
  1:45am sleepy:

do you have consolidated?
Avatar 1:52am Wm.:

I think we went from "beats" to "weird"...
Avatar 2:07am slugluv1313:

where is tonight's image from?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10am Ike:

Nice sounds!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11am Rory:

Avatar 2:13am Wm.:

The film is called Dagon, another very loose Lovecraft adaptation, with some nice visual moments....
Avatar 2:16am slugluv1313:

thank you! not familiar, will check it out
Avatar 2:18am Wm.:

It's cool, if not a life-changer ...as dressed up Lovecraft adaptations go, it's no Re-Animator or Castle Freak!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21am osvi:

Utter nonsense, another damn fine show, Mr. Berger.
Avatar 2:33am slugluv1313:

excellent sounds for my melted brain
i have a whole list of films generated from these images!
and i still wanna track down this - even if it is awful, just for the sake of appeasing my teenaged curiosity of those "no-one admitted during the last 10 minutes" ads -- and omg this Vincent Canby review mentions Holly Woodlawn . . . !
Avatar 2:38am Wm.:

Ha! Well that sounds at least very interesting indeed. I've seen that director's Legacy of Satan, and let's just say that one is low on Satan, and high on tedious fuck scenes. Holly Woodlawn?! My favorite Warhol / Morrissey star. Remember my horrid ex-girlfriend Jenny? Holly in Trash always reminds me of her AGGHHH
Avatar 2:43am slugluv1313:

hah! never heard of Legacy!
and yes, omg, i remember Jenny -- did not make the "Trash" connection though!
Avatar 2:47am Wm.:

...she looked like a "female" Holly Woodlawn, with an equivalent amount of shouting and derisive commentary, hahaha. Love Holly, follow her on FB. ...much classier than Jenny ever was!
Avatar 2:53am slugluv1313:

yes i remember the look/demeanor -- blonde sometimes too?
yes Holly is amazing -- she has been really ill recently though :(
Avatar 7:36am SiHV:

Welcome back. Thursday morning and rain. Lemmy.
