I like the Sanders platform but it's way too early for this shit. Way, way, way too early. Polls this early in the cycle don't mean shit. Less than shit.
Avatar 🎙 3:37am
Jherweg:

Yes true, I'm trying to stay optimistic though..

greysquad:

true it's early in the polls... let's not forget that obama upset clinton in iowa back in 2008... and the media was saying he was "unelectable" too.

Corbyn was THE rank outsider but lit up the grassroots and tapped into the huge nationwide resentment against neoliberal policies. No one has any illusions that he faces a massive battle aginst the forces of the right even in his own party to get elected as PM but he sure as hell's gonna try and we're with him all the way. The battle's been won but that's just the beginning.
Avatar 🎙 4:01am
Jherweg:

I feel like Bernie Sanders is even more of an outsider.
Avatar 🎙 4:16am
Simon P:

Well Corbyn got hammered by 95% of the media and all the old guard of his own party, they were queuing up to put him down. He tapped into the original values that the Labour Party stood for and put his faith in that and showed that there's still a hell of a lot of folks that still share these values. If Bernie puts his faith in the people he has a chance there must be a huge well spring of discontent that can be turned into votes. But I realise big money calls the shots more in US. The Tories will have a massive advantage when it comes to money in 2020 also.

Corbyn was booked in to appear on the Andrew Marr show this morning but cancelled after he won the leadership race. Two fingered salute to the media.
  4:27am
greysquad:

Corbyn's election is huge! it represents a total rejection of Tony Blairs (and Clinton's) left-centrist policy. Sanders represents the American equivalent (let's hope so!).

The static did stop when you turned down the bed music. I do not hear it at all when you are playing selections, it only seems to occur when the background music is on. Could it be that particular cd player?
