Hah, one New Year's Eve, 1994 perhaps, one of the basic cable stations played like 8 hr of Banana Splits episodes. My friends and I hadn't seen these damn things since the mid-70s and we were HOOKED all night.

Mike A:

There are so many records that sound better at the wrong speed; like this one right now.
Avatar 12:08pm

Had to clicky the Copeland...though not sure when I'd listen to it again except as something to show/play to someone else as if it were a weird frog I found.

MI theme always reminds me of it running in my head while running a wee Mustang from a cereal box around on the floor or bedcovers.

Phono ad sure wants the band to look Monkee-ish, yes?
Avatar 12:10pm
Nick S.:

ARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!
Avatar 12:10pm

The funny thing about that ad is that it superimposes two timeframes/places: It shows both a live band AND a record player blasting.
Avatar 12:12pm

These two "lovers" sound like they're hyperventilating, not panting in ecstasy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm

Your record player IS AS GOOD as hearing/seeing the live band, at least that is what I'd guess the ad it trying to tell you...
