"Otherworld" is the perfect title for Kevin Kastning's 19th disc of dark guitar explorations. Kastning's playing takes you to a beautiful, cavernous, otherworldly landscape, walking you along the edge of sometimes atonal areas but ultimately returning to a comfortable place. Kevin is joined by Budapest-based guitarist/musicologist Sándor Szabó, who's collaborated on a few albums. Szabó blends western classical forms with the meditative mood of eastern music, Hungarian folk and jazz improv. Kevin Kastning and Sándor Szabó played live.
