Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.
October 28, 2015: DANCER live set! And it's the final week of our Crunch Time silent fundraiser - please make a pledge!
Listen to this show: Pop‑up player!
It's my fourth and final show of WFMU's Crunch Time Silent Fundraiser, and I've got YET ANOTHER special show demonstrate the awesomeness of WFMU (and of course my show in particular!), and hopefully to motivate you to pledge. Plus it's your LAST CHANCE to get one of our brand-new t-shirts (shown above), never before available!
Tonight I'm excited to bring you an outstanding live set from Dancer! These San Francisco neo-glam rockers stop by WFMU to drop a set of punky power-pop on your heads that's more power than pop. If you enjoy the Heartbreakers, Time Flys, Bare Wires/Warm Soda, Starz, and the like then you'll quickly become a fan of Dancer! The live set will start about 30 minutes in to the show.
Now, because this is a SILENT fundraiser I won't be talking about it much at all during my show which means I'm depending on the written word to convince you to PLEASE PLEDGE! This is the time of year when the money we raised during our 2015 fundraising marathon starts to dry up, and the 2016 marathon is still several long months away, so any help you can offer would be amazing.
If you've already pledged, THANK YOU! Your support is greatly appreciated. If not,
P L E A S E P L E D G E N O W !
If you're not able to make a pledge right now you can help by telling all your Twitter followers and Facebook friends to pledge! And while you're at it, please take a moment to Like The Evan "Funk" Davies Show on Facebook and follow me on Twitter! Thank you.!
