right Erella? Who doesn't like hearin' their name on the radio? One of the many reasons I give more to fmu than to public radio stations. Who's ever heard Leonard Lopate say their name?..unless your name is John D or Catherine T McArthur.

There's a significant Jewish community here in Bloomington - though I don't participate - as opposed to where I lived in North Dakota - where there were less than 10 Jews in a town of 15000
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30am Doug Schulkind:

"Northwest oyster" sounds like a euphemism for something else, Mr C.
  11:31am RecordJunkie:

E-Pak-Sa! Hahaha, loved it!
Avatar 11:31am annie:

surprisingly we have many living here ...i grew up on LI where the jewish delis were on every block.. i'm amazed that there is no jewish bakery here in town. the closest we have is a baker that makes the BEST rye bread, and it's made from local organic flour.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Doug Schulkind:

Like, the audience started flinging "Northwest oysters" at the town commissioner upon hearing of the water and sewage tax increase."
  11:36am RecordJunkie:

Greetings Doug! Arrived a bit late, bad punctuality!
  11:37am Mr C:

Doug..indeed it does..
  11:37am Listener Gregory:

This Khao La Lan song sounds eerily like an early Bob Dylan song, though I can't figure out which one... Masters of War?
Avatar 🥁 11:37am βrian:

Better bad punctuality than bad punctuation.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am Doug Schulkind:

Little Royal
Steve Colt
Rodger Pace

So many James Brown imitators, so little time.

Being a self-described "junkie band," Bobby Freeman and his bandmates probably sold those fiddles and saxophone for drugs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am Parq:

Mondagreen time. I thought they were saying "Funky spunky nitty gritty". Oh well.

I recall having great fun with Joni Mitchell lyrics while on road trips. Mondegreen Central!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Gaylord Fields:

@Uncle Michael: I'm a native New Yorker, where "Harry" and "hairy" are not homophones. So I didn't understand your wordplay at first. Honest.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am Uncle Michael:

I can't get my head around them not being homophonic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am Doug Schulkind:

I'm from the Brooklyn: "Earl for oil" New Orleans: "Oil for Earl" school of homophones.
