About 10 items? I say 12 items unless there are multiples of 1 item. Like 10 cans of the same item should just be counted as 1 item since it’s being scanned and checkout folks can do quantity.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am myron feld:

a) it shouldn't say "about" anything, but since it did,
b) 12
Avatar 11:15am Michael Shelley:

not sure about this: 10 cans of the same item should just be counted as 1 item
  11:16am lars:

In the national electric code (NEC, for electrical construction regulations) 125% capacity safety buffer is an often re-occurrence.... can we accept that? 12.5 items max per "10 items or less"
  11:18am SeanG:

Hi Folks, Did the pop-up player just skip for anyone?
Avatar 11:21am Michael Shelley:

Lars - sounds reasonable
  11:23am JakeGould:

@MichaelShelley: Yes! 10 items of the same thing can be counted as 1 item since they are using a computer and it can be multiplied.
  11:23am lloyd michigan:

What was Jellyfish's biggest hit?
Avatar 11:24am Michael Shelley:

BABY - you're a huge JFish fan....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am Uncle Michael:

Michael, if you know what the Cactus Blossom brothers have different surnames, can you 'splain it to us?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Uncle Michael:

different dads?
  11:26am lloyd michigan:

BABY, come back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28am Baby:

Never left?
  11:29am lloyd michigan:

BABY, What was Jellyfish's biggest hit?
Avatar 11:29am Michael Shelley:

I asked them - I dont remember the exact answer - but I think they said they have same parents - somebody check the archive
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30am Uncle Michael:

I still need to listen to that complete appearance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30am Baby:

Oh, i see now. It was?? HMM. It was, from their first CD. "That is Why"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Baby:

But it was no hit by any measure. It got the most radio run when the record came out.
  11:32am lloyd michigan:

Thanks, BABY! I had forgotten about them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am Baby:

Yes, C-Blossums are brothers. Jack changed his name.
  11:33am marc15:

Was Dave Hill there? "Call back in 20 minutes" hmmm
Avatar 11:34am Michael Shelley:

Baby runs a music venue - did you book the CB's - when's the date?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am Baby:

Still trying to nail down the show. May is target. Going to see them is a couple of weeks in LA. Super excited. Love the Tripwires!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38am Baby:

Mike, it's kind of Television-like
  11:40am lloyd michigan:

Great version of a great song. Long live M.F.
Avatar 11:41am Michael Shelley:

Television is (are?) sleepy - comparatively
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46am Uncle Michael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46am Melissa Jean:

good mornin!
Avatar 11:48am Michael Shelley:

But Mose is fake...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Uncle Michael:

He is?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am Uncle Michael:

Elaborate hoax?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53am Gaylord Fields:

The real problem with "10 items or less" is that it should be "10 items or fewer."
  12:08pm JakeGould:

@GaylordFields: Store signage and grammar/spelling don’t mix. Was stunned when I went to BookOff (Japanese resale shop in Midtown) and all of the signage was coherent and made sense and was reasonable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm Gaylord Fields:

Close, but no cigar: The correct answer is "Car 54." It's been scientifically determined.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm ChrisB.:

Well, Gaylord, both shows were created by Nat Hiken, so there is a confluence.
  12:11pm V Priceless:

Can Harry talk a little about 'the Day The Clown Cried'? I think he's one of the few people who have seen it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm Gaylord Fields:

@ChrisB: Don't you TV-splain me!

But seriously, read the Nat Hiken bio, if you haven't already — it's illuminating.
Avatar 12:26pm David Shortell:

I saw Harry at the Jewish Community Center in Deal back in 2006, around the time the Borat movie came out. He expressed hesitancy to see that film since he normally disapproved of "prank humor".
That struck me as odd considering that Spinal Tap appeared, costumed and in character, on the Joe Franklin Show --and Joe thought they were real!
  12:28pm V Priceless:

Great chat! Thanks Michael!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Thx Michael - & Thx so much Mr. Harry Shearer for 'Le Show'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I'm happy that Harry Shearer agreed to stay with The Simpsons. He'd be pretty tough to replace.
Avatar 12:44pm Mailman Tom:

I would have to agree with Gaylord. Car 54 is the correct answer. I've watched the Bilko show, just recently, and it doesn't even make me crack a smile.
Avatar 12:45pm Tidepoolbay:

At the money Harry is getting paid there is no way he would leave.
Avatar 12:58pm BEAVO:

He has a Warren Zevon vibe.
  1:00pm herb.nyc:

Who is Scott Fagan? Great guy!
