Doing a three hour show every week is incredibly hard work, especially one as carefully curated as your show was last week, I would imagine.
I do hope you can find a way to do the therapeutic amount of radio that works for you, even if it's not as often as we listeners would like.
I know when I've gone through long spells of not doing radio or DJing, I jones for it something fierce.

Dean:

Hi and soon bye. Heading out on a road trip. Will miss this show, Peter. Very sorry to hear about your plight. Bodies. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.
Avatar 3:35pm
Peter Nelson:

@Rich...I've not heard the expression 'jones for it', but I think I guess your meaning. Yeah...me too...after a while i miss it terribly.
Avatar 3:36pm
Peter Nelson:

@Dean. There's a brewery in UK called Bodingtons. They used to say "if you don't get Bodies you'll just get bitter." I thought that was funny.

I think it's from the American junky lexicon. Jonesing. Hmm. Funny expression, that. I'll have to look it up.

The New Oxford American Dictionary has “Origin 1960’s: said to come from Jones Alley, in Manhattan, associated with drug addicts.”

If anyone wondered about the pic I chose for this show....I identify with this painting. I kind of look like that, what with the stoop, and, like Newton, I am forced to look down a lot. Also, this image is reversed. That appeals.

So pleased you had a go Peter. This is a special station and seems from the outside so bluddy demanding. You are the most important person here so it must be the right decision. Au revoir, my friend, see you on the comments.
PS Leoš Janácek's On an Overgrown Path is wonderful (played on FMU) but No.1 Keutzer Sonata is my favourite of the Quartets. Evokes middle Europe of the 1920s for some reason, that and Sherlock Holmes!!
