The first music I heard on fmu was Vin Scelsa playing the first Rotary Connection album. I was instantly hooked.

About 40 years ago, I heard a French song on fmu that I liked a lot, then I heard it again last year on Scott's show. If you never heard it, check it out: "Ame Debout" by Catherine Ribeiro.
  5:16am
Mark R.:

Thanks, Tony, I'll do that!
Avatar 5:33am
pierre:

@CDToaster : yeah Scott plays a lot of Catherine Ribeiro and Théâtre du chêne noir music. It's fantastic !

Greetings from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia!

This is the best hour of radio I've heard in a long while, great post-work aural treats! Is this show always this good? Keep it up!
Avatar 5:35am
CDToaster:

@Pierre: Well, it seems Ame Debout has been played often on fmu during the past 10 years. I have a pal who speaks fluent French yet he was unable to translate any part of the song for me!
