Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Sutherland Brothers & Quiver  Arms of Mary   Favoriting Reach For The Sky  Columbia  1976  MP3    0:19:10 (Pop-up)
I remember seeing Sutherland Bros. and Quiver at the Iowa State Fair circa '75. They were second on the bill, following Texas, and before Steely Dan and Elton John. Steely Dan cancelled because a power line was cut-through and the gig was running late. I was really mad as I had just purchased Can't Buy A Thrill and I really wanted to see them. They didn't tour much after that until recently.
James Gang  Tend My Garden   Favoriting Rides Again  ABC  1970  MP3    0:22:24 (Pop-up)

Of Wondrous Legends (OWL)  Upon the Wings of Gabriel   Favoriting Of Wondrous Legends  Locust  2009  MP3  Re-issued. Originally recorded for Universal in 1971. They passed on the project and the LP languished for years, unheard.  0:46:08 (Pop-up)
I am in such an "Irene" headspace tonight. Nice

The Communion Lark - Braintree - C. Pigeon
This improv piece is out of place. Should've stuck with the music. After ten years I still don't know what this show "is." Music, interviews, musicals, ... all over the place. I lose the music fans with this type of thing and the interviews.
Mercy  Love Can Make You Happy   Favoriting     1969  MP3  Tampa band  0:57:13 (Pop-up)

I know what you mean about the odd comfort of having a cold... I have to work when I'm sick and it sucks but sometimes I get this weird feeling from it that is akin to a comforting feeling that certain drugs will bring on.
Avatar 6:10pm
Linda Lee:

lovin the sounds Clay! & you sound very nice. if you want to get rid of it quick, here's what you do: draw a very very hot bath. almost too hot. take a big cup of ginger tea. get in the bath. sweat your tail off. get out, wrap up in blanket.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm

@Common: I think it kind of has to do with the familiarity of it.. its like oh yeah this feeling... I'm sick. Gonna be sick now for a bit. Or maybe you me and CP have just fried our brains.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm

that could be it, marcel. either one.
