Okay… So… Did you see the movie?

No Don't tell me anything !

So what about the new “Star Trek: Beyond” trailer? Off limits?
Avatar 3:37am
Jherweg:

I don't give a shit about Star trek really.
Avatar 🎙 3:38am
Simon P:

Dead C -thanks!
  3:38am
JakeGould:

@Jherweg: The new movies were passable to me, but this 3rd one… Oh man… The trailer… I will just say this… About the trailer… The WHOLE SOUNDTRACK to the trailer is… The Beastie Boys “Sabotage!” No other soundtrack past B.S. dudebro’ed up dialogue.
Avatar 3:39am
Jherweg:

I'll have to go watch it.
  3:41am
JakeGould:

I also had some really nice tacos tonight. New place so adding it to the list.
Avatar 3:42am
Jherweg:

Tomorrow I'm going to go watch the Henry Rollins movie "He Never Died"
Avatar 3:44am
Jherweg:

And by tomorrow I mean later today.
  3:45am
JakeGould:

He Never Died according to IMDB: “A social outcast embarks on a bloody quest to save his long-lost daughter from a crime syndicate.” Total rip off of the plot of the new “Star Wars” film. Or that Liam Neeson “Not Without My Daughter Let Her Go” film they made a sequel too.

chris from seattle checking in! first live show. lol been dying to hear what you have to say about star wars
  3:58am
JakeGould:

FWIW, I just found this on YouTube—no new movie spoilers—but some genius composited all of the 6 Star Wars films over each other into one 6 layered video. Runs the full 2+ hours! www.youtube.com...
Avatar 3:59am
Alejandroool:

saw that before, pretty wacky!
  4:00am
JakeGould:

@Alehjandrool: I am floored by it! I want to convince some bar to show this on their TV sets all this week.
Avatar 🎙 4:06am

that Dead C has all the essential ingredients for me a new year purchase coming up if it's still available?
  4:08am
JakeGould:

The first two films—“Star Wars” and “The Empire Strikes Back”—are the only ones I care about. Gary Kurtz pushed some sane and believable hard-ish Sci-Fi. When they got rid of him… All the pandering stuff to make the films crassly target kids really went out of control.
Avatar 4:08am
Alejandroool:

hah yes... I'd love to see the confusion if a bar was playing that... even wwithout the sound
  4:10am
JakeGould:

@Alejandroool: It’s the kind of perfect background visuals. The part that syncs just well but just bad enough is the whole opening crawl. If I ran a place that showed this to patrons I’d want them to at least stare at that part.
Avatar 4:10am
Jherweg:

It's available Simon!!
  4:11am
Kafuka:

Oh yes
Avatar 4:12am
Alejandroool:

maybe just that opening crawl on repeat... looping
Avatar 4:14am
Alejandroool:

when people do similar things (that 100 white albums, etc.) all at once, the resulting cacophony sounds like some mutated sludgy death metal
  4:16am
JakeGould:

@Alejandroool: Yup. I really like the tech art world that uses that ability of tech to layer/multiply things to insane levels like that. Nice statement on the way media can be duplicated and is still different and looks cool and all that jazz.
Avatar 4:19am
Alejandroool:

yes, lots of layers... results that are uniquely a result of those mashings. degradation of physical/digital media too
